Juliana Gomez's 18th Birthday Party Was A Disco Child's Dream Come True!
Juliana Gomez is all grown up and we couldn't be more excited for her!
The student, athlete, and rising model celebrated one her life's biggest milestones with one-of-a-kind party over the weekend held at the Bench Tower. Not one to be an uber girly-girl to enjoy getting dolled up in big ball gowns and participating in traditional debut activities, Juliana chose to do something rather unexpected for her 18th birthday: a disco-themed dance party!
"I love everything about the disco era, from the fashion to the music," Juliana tells Metro.Style.
The event, held at The Bench Tower in Taguig, was decked out in silver disco balls, purple strobe lights, and sparkly décor to bring guests back in time, creating an atmosphere best enjoyed on the dance floor and on one's feet with a dance partner. All three of Juliana's white outfits were on point, making her look lovely as ever. The first was a mock turtleneck mini dress by Randy Ortiz that she wore with a pair of Gianvito Rossi boots. This was followed by a Halpern Studio off-shoulder, embellished mini dress paired with silver ankle-strapped heels. She then changed into another Randy Ortiz Creation: a sleek, halter jumpsuit.
Aside from the debutante herself, the party's main attraction was definitely the music and live performances by IV of Spades and The Diegos that had everyone shaking their groove thing all night long.

Not one to miss out on their only child's most special birthday to date, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez and Congresswoman Lucy Torres made it a point to free their busy schedules to be there. The hip and happening parents made sure to be in theme, too, just like Juliana; Richard impressed guests with his colorful patterned shirt, while Lucy stunned in a flattering olive green slip. Her lola, Julie Torres, was there, too!
Other recognizable faces at the party included Julia, Dani, Marjorie and Claudia Barretto, Ben Chan, Gabbi Garcia, Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez, Ariella Arida, Pops Fernandez, John Estrada, Priscilla Meirelles, Cassy and Mavy Legaspi, Angelina Cruz, Lorin Gutierrez, Andrea Brillantes, and Alexa Ilacad.
Juliana says that "just being able to dance with my family and friends at the same place and time" is the best thing about her birthday celebration.

The party, while already amazingly fun and upbeat from start to finish, was made even better when Juliana's cake was revealed; the sweet treat wasn't a baked confection, but rather, a quirky creation made out of a stack of Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts!
Similarly, an entertaining yet heartwearming father-daughter dance between Juliana and Richard performed to the tune of "Heaven Knows" caught everyone's attention, and best of all, reminded guests of the birthday girl's admirable close relationship with her family.

When the night was done and everyone had gone home, Juliana shared one of the most touching messages she received on her big day.
The first was a letter, handwritten by her mom, whose touching sentiments pretty much summed up what Juliana has ahead of her. Likewise, Juliana's dad and best pal took to Instagram to express his happiness for his daughter, wishing her nothing but happiness and positivity on the long, winding journey she will soon embark on.
What does being 18 mean to Juliana? "It means taking on more responsibilities and figuring out myself and what I want."
Happy birthday to you, Juliana!
