Jungkook’s Mandatory Military Service Will Start in December

The BTS member is going to miss his family, friends, and fans!

BTS superstar Jungkook is finally fulfilling his country’s duties as a citizen as he will start his mandatory military service soon. Recently, he released a statement on WeVerse announcing his departure.

“In December, I will start a new journey. I’m leaving you for a short while to serve in the military,” the artist said. “As I share this news, I feel heavy on one hand, and on the other hand, I’m reminded of precious memories with ARMY, so my heart warms up.”

In his touching message, he thanked his fans and followers for supporting his endeavors silently or actively. He also expressed his farewell to the entire ARMY community. “I’m careful to tell you to wait for me while I’m in the military. A year and a half is a long time, so I can’t say anything selfish,” he continued.

“When I return, I promise to stand on stage in the same spot I always was and with a more grown appearance.” The “Seven” singer, at 26, is the last BTS star to enlist and enter South Korea’s government-mandated military service.

“I will miss you deeply in my heart as I wait for the day when we can meet again and share new stories,” Jungkook promised his supporters. “Please don't get sick and stay healthy. I love you.” The group, made up of seven members, started to serve their time or are beginning before long.

Lately, BTS’s agency BigHit Music talked about the temporary hiatus, too. “We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have initiated the military enlistment process. The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in due course.”
