Global K-Pop Girl Group TWICE Is Coming Back To The Philippines

Are you ready, Filipino ONCEs?

After months of waiting for the official announcement, Filipino ONCEs (TWICE’s fandom name) finally received their confirmation that it’s time to start saving up because TWICE are returning to the Philippines this 2023.

The chart-topping girl group will be performing at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on September 30, 2023 as part of their ongoing 5th World Tour, ‘READY TO BE.’ TWICE last held a concert in the Philippines in June 2019.

Since then, TWICE have renewed their contracts and released several albums including their latest, Ready To Be, which has reached close to 2 million copies sold, as of this writing. They also embarked on their 4th World Tour, III. This had stops in Japan and the US, including sold-out concerts in the Banc of California Stadium, a first for any K-pop girl group and second only to BTS for Korean acts.

III, unfortunately, did not have a date in the Philippines because of the pandemic. But Filo ONCEs knew it was inevitable that Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu would return to the country given their popularity here.

In fact, according to Statista Research, TWICE got 399 million YouTube views from the Philippines in 2022. This is second only to Japan. While according to Spotify, PH ONCEs are third in monthly listening to the group. First is the US and then, Japan.

JYP Entertainment and Live Nation announced part 2 of TWICE’s world tour itinerary last Sunday, adding stops in London, Paris, Berlin, Singapore, Bangkok, and the Philippines.

No specific details and pricing have been released as of yet. The tour is currently ongoing and TWICE will have their first international stop in Australia this May.
