This three-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl is experiencing the joys of pregnancy for the first time. And like most modern mommies of this day and age, she took to social media to announce the awesome news with a photo and a tell-all caption.
The 26-year-old beauty chose a photo of her posing in sunny Miami, where she donned a chic red pantsuit paired with a fitted white top. Giving the slightest glimpse of her belly, she simply wrote, “#PregnantInMiami" and tagged her husband, the proud daddy of their little baby boy or girl, Justin Verlander, in her post. The photo has reeled in almost half a million likes and thousands of positive comments from Kate's five million followers, as of this writing.
The baseball big shot was just as happy to congratulate his wife on his own Instagram account, posting the same photo with a caption of his own that read, "You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much."

While a baby-on-the-way announcement is already great news for most, for this handsome couple, it's made extra special by the fact they're on their way to celebrating their first year of marriage. It's been all love and smiles for Kate and Justin who began their relationship in 2014, enjoyed a World Series championship won by Justin and his team in 2017, wed in Italy a few days after, and now, are beaming parents-to-be.
It was reported that the couple had learned about the pregnancy weeks before, but waited for an opportune time to go public after they first enjoyed the milestone with family and friends. The rumors circulating about Kate's pregnancy were initially fueled by the model's choice of drinks in social events she was spotted in (none of her usual cocktails!) and a growing belly, but now, everyone can be rest assured that Kate isn't only expecting, but is also quite pleased about it!
