A Very Good Girl star Kathryn Bernardo stunned at the stage of the 2023 Seoul International Drama Awards in South Korea.


The global festival’s gala was held tonight, September 21, at the Korea Broadcasting System’s KBS Hall, which is headquartered in Yeouido, Seoul.




Kathryn is recognized as Outstanding Asian Star for her role as Alisson “Ali” Fajardo in the ABS-CBN primetimes series 2 Good 2 Be True. Her performance in the said show was lauded by luminaries from the entertainment circuit, earning her nods and an international nomination.


Apart from Kathryn, the other Outstanding Asian Star awardees are China’s Luo Yunxi, Japan’s Yusei Yagi, South Korea’s Park Eun Bin, and Thailand’s Atthaphan Phunsawat.

In her acceptance speech, Kathryn thanked her supporters and all the people behind the 2G2BT production. “To my brilliant co-actors, Mr. Daniel Padilla and Mr. Ronaldo Valdez, and to the whole team of 2 Good 2 Be True, I’d like to share this award with all of you,” the Kapamilya superstar said.

Kathryn becomes the second Filipina to snag the big award after Can’t Buy Me Love leading lady Belle Mariano.


In 2022, Belle made a historical milestone as she was hailed the Philippine champion in the same category for her priceless acting in the coming-of-age content He’s Into Her.
