4 Reasons To Be Excited About Kathryn Bernardo And Daniel Padilla's Upcoming Movie, "After Forever"

Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and their KathNiel love team will be back on the big screen via the Star Cinema movie After Forever. The wonderful news came earlier today, as Kathryn and Daniel met up with direk Cathy Garcia-Molina and creative producer/screenwriter Carmi Raymundo for a story conference. 

Like many KathNiel fans who are rejoicing right now, we're likewise thrilled about seeing this lovely couple showcase their onscreen chemistry again.

Here, we break down why we're particularly excited about Kathryn and Daniel's upcoming movie, After Forever.

1. Audiences will get to experience that KathNiel magic once again.

Kathryn and Daniel's last movie together was The Hows of Us back in 2018. The award-winning movie earned over P800 million in global gross, and is currently the second highest-grossing Philippine film of all time—it's next to Kathryn's movie with Alden Richards, Hello, Love, Goodbye, whose worldwide earnings had a total of more than P880 million. KathNiel and the palpable energy of genuine love between them have always made for a winning recipe on the big screen, as the successes of their other movies (Can't Help Falling in Love in 2017, Barcelona: A Love Untold in 2016, Crazy Beautiful You in 2015, She's Dating the Gangster in 2014, and Must Be... Love in 2013) prove.   

This is what Star Cinema executive Mico del Rosario calls the "Power 4." This is the same core team behind The Hows of Us, and what they will put forth this time around is truly something worth looking forward to. During After Forever's story conference, direk Cathy said of the upcoming romance movie, "Obviously, love story siya. But, of course, with the promise na this will be something different." To which, Daniel added, "Mabigat ‘yung pelikula tsaka mahirap. Pero maganda ‘yung pelikula, talagang reality. Hindi pa nakukuwento [sa ibang pelikula].” Kathryn also worked with direk Cathy and Carmi on Hello, Love, Goodbye!

3. After Forever will be filmed in San Francisco, California.

An interesting setting certainly adds to the beauty of a movie. San Francisco sure makes a great filming location specifically for its vibrant street scenes and iconic architectural landmarks. A teaser Star Cinema released showed the movie's title against an image of The Golden Gate Bridge. Shooting for this movie will start this month. 

4. The movie will be released mid-2020.

This means we don't need to wait that long to see one of Star Cinema's biggest projects this year.

This 2020, Kathryn and Daniel will also star in the teleserye Tanging Mahal. She also recently launched her own YouTube channel, and through it, people get to see more of her and Daniel's intimate and candid moments.
