Are Kathryn Bernardo And Daniel Padilla Releasing A New Duet Soon?

In case you missed it, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla have stirred talk online about a new (albeit secret) project they've been working on behind closed doors. No details have been made available to the public but with a series of photos posted by Daniel's mom, Karla Estrada, it looks like the two are geared up to make music together!

Fans were quick to notice that the real-life couple looked like they were in a studio; with both of them made up for the camera and standing in front of recording mics, all clues seemed to point to a brand new musical collab.

They were wearing their ABS-CBN ribbons, too, a little wardrobe detail that raised the question about whether or not the project would be for the benefit of their home network, or something much more personal to them.

The last time that Kathryn and Daniel worked on music together was in 2016, when they joined the Christmas Love Duets album. 

The surprise song will be KathNiel's first 2020 project. The last time the powerhouse stars appeared onscreen together was in 2018 with romantic drama The Hows of Us, and they were originally slated to begin filming a new movie After Forever under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina.

They were also reported to return with a teleserye this year, however, the COVID-19 crisis has put much of the entertainment industry's activities to a halt, and no updates have been given on when these project can, or will, resume. 

The only thing we know so far is that details of KathNiel's new project are scheduled for release on Monday, August 31, so we'll be checking our feeds then!
