Spotted! The Celebrities Who Watched Katy Perry's "Witness" Concert In Manila—Plus, All The Highlights Of This Super Instagram-Perfect Event

Scrumptious-meal-filled tables, cotton candy sweets, Egyptian headpieces, colorful wigs, and flamboyant outfits—fans of international superstar Katy Perry arrived at the Mall of Asia Arena last April 2 donned in different Katy alter egos to “witness” the spectacular show of this pop icon.

This much-anticipated follow-up tour to 2014’s "Prismatic World Tour" was a huge success. Attended by the KatyCats, moniker for Katy’s fans, and some local celebrities, "Witness: The Tour" provided Instagram-worthy visuals that added a layer of extravagance to the show. From colorful video montages to larger-than-life stage props, Katy impressed the audience.

Opening the show with the title-track from her fourth studio album Witness, Katy emerged from the B-stage leading up to the eye-shaped stage setup in a red sparkly hooded outfit. “Witness" has been a personal favorite of Katy, being the opening song on the album and on the tour; the song also happens to be the first track that she recorded for this album.

She then belted out her latest tracks from the album, she performed “Roulette” followed by the number 1 hit “Dark Horse” from Prism. Not only did Katy wear extravagant outfits but so did her dancers. Giant television screens worn by her dancers during “Chained to the Rhythm," pop colored outfits for her old classic “Teenage Dream,” and pink flamingos were seen during “Last Friday Night (TGIF).”

More highlights from the show include Left Shark’s appearance during “California Gurls.” The mascot became famous after performing with Katy at the Super Bowl XLIX half time show. Another memorable moment was when a KatyCat, dressed up as a graduating student, was invited by Katy herself to the stage to take a once-in-a-lifetime selfie with her. Now, that's a KatyCat #goal!

She performed various tracks from Witness and her previous albums such as “Déjà vu,” “Tsunami,” “ET,” “Bon appetit,” “Wide Awake,” “Into Me You See” which substituted “Thinking of You,” “Part of Me,” and the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Swish Swish." Katy surprised her fans with various costume changes from a polka dot latex outfit to a giant-winged accessory.

She ended the show with crowd favorites “Roar” and “Firework” where she emerged from a giant inflatable hand while fireworks were displayed on the main stage. Fans sang along to the song until she left the palm of the giant, making fans scream for more.

One of the things that her Filipino fans love about Katy is that she has always been in love with the country and our culture. After asking her Pinoy fans the Tagalog translation for the line “I love you," she did not stop there. Prior to singing “Hot ‘N Cold,” she asked the crowd to translate the words “hot” and “cold” in Tagalog, and wow, she sure is a fast learner!

Till your next tour in Manila, Katy!
