On their first impressions of each other - ALEXA: 'My first impression of KD, it’s actually funny because we’ve apparently seen each other so many times in an event or, ’cause we have the same handler in Star Magic, and there were a lot of events when we were together, right next to each other, behind each other. But, it’s either we’ve met or we don’t remember, or we’ve never really met. So my first impression of KD inside the house was he was just a really quiet, shy boy. I could tell from the start that he was an introvert.'
On their first impressions of each other - KD: 'My first impression of Lex, like what Lex said, we had always been in events together because we have the same handler but we never really talked or met. So when we met inside the house, my first impression was she was very strong. She had a very strong personality, and she just, overall, had such a huge presence in the room.'
On what they find inspiring about each other - ALEXA: 'With KD, it inspired me to see how willing he was to fight. To fight whatever he was feeling. To be stronger than our condition. And how he fought his own demons inside, so that he could be brave and so that he could use this new platform to spread awareness.'
On what they find inspiring about each other - KD: 'What I saw in Lexa, she’s really very caring as a person, and everyone saw that. And also very nurturing... Despite fighting her own demons as well, she still manages to care for other people. That’s what I admired about her, so I also wanted to care for her as much as she cared for others.'
On the best advice they've given each other - KD: 'For me, Alexa taught me, 'Let the pain remind you that your heart can heal.' There, with patience, whatever you’re feeling right now, if it’s negative, it’s going to pass by. Just really give it patience and time.'
On the best advice they've given each other - ALEXA: 'I think, rather than something specific that he taught me in terms of advice, it would be a feeling. He taught me, he’s slowly teaching me how to feel better about myself because he’s always there. He’s always reassuring me in so many ways, and he’s just always there to listen to me, to just guide me since I think I really lack self-confidence, which is very contradictory to how I am or how I project myself. So, he knows what’s up, he knows what’s real, and he just guides me and he has given me so much advice. It’s so hard to just think of one, so I guess, he has made me feel really secure.'
On what they enjoy doing together - ALEXA: 'Eating!' | KD: 'Yeah, eating! Food trip.' | ALEXA: 'When we’re together, we just make music. I don’t know, it’s just so automatic. And usually with KD, it’s either we make music or we don’t do anything, and that’s okay. Like, we find peace with just not doing anything. Because, to be honest, our days are so packed. We do a lot of things. Our phones are exploding with to-dos. So when we’re together, it’s just that piece of peace and quiet. And me, I really enjoy that, and I think that’s what I need to recharge. But of course, music, it just happens.'
On being dubbed as the 'Hottest Musical Pair' - KD: 'As of now, being dubbed as the 'Hottest Musical Pair,' for me, it fits. It actually really fits with the both of us because I play mostly guitar and I’m really not that good with lyrics. Alexa doesn’t really play guitar but she’s very good with lyrics. So, I guess, we really complement each other. We feed off each other when we make a song. I think, yeah, that’s a fitting title for the both of us.'
On being dubbed as the 'Hottest Musical Pair' - ALEXA: 'For me, I really love the title 'Hottest Musical Pair' ’cause it isn’t just your ordinary love team. Actually, I really love being paired with KD and, for me, I don’t see anyone else. I can’t imagine anyone else because with KD, I’m also able to pursue my music which is something that I really want to do. And I’m not being boxed in just one thing. I don’t have to just act, I can do music as well. So, for me, being partnered with KD is such a blessing for me. And the name, the title, the 'Hottest Musical Pair' is really nice because there’s no one else like that. And I don’t really know of any others, so this is something that we can really own and something that’s really us.'
On how close they are now - KD: 'Very close. Very close is an understatement. Me and Lex, we really do share a lot of things together… I mean, of course, mentally, we’re both, like, the same. We’re both the same in a lot of ways. And we’re also both different in a lot of ways. So, it’s not boring. What I have with Alexa now, it’s just, I don’t know, I can’t even put it into words because that’s how great it is. But if you were to ask me how close we are. Very close is an understatement.'
On how close they are now - ALEXA: 'KD always says that I’m his best friend and, of course, he’s mine and more. So, obviously, that means we’re very, very, very close ’cause I don’t just say that this person is my best friend, I don’t give out that title easily. The connection we’ve made. I’ve known so many other people for so many years, but the connection KD and I have even with just that short amount of time, surpasses everything else.'
