Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino Reunite for the Remake of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”
The “Linlang” stars are set to headline the hit South Korean series
Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are set to headline the adaptation of hit South Korean show What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. ABS-CBN Entertainment and Viu partner for the Philippine remake of CJ ENM’s rom-com drama, catering to Filipino viewers and fans of the original. The offering, to be produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, is the third adaptation of a television format from South Korea following The Broken Marriage Vow and Flower of Evil.

After starring in the betrayal series Linlang, Kim and Paulo assemble again for another sought-after story, this time portraying the characters of Secretary Kim and Mr. Vice Chairman. Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon played the roles of the two in the Korean tale, respectively.
What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim navigates the life of a narcissistic executive of a highly-esteemed corporation, whose competent secretary suddenly resigns from her job. Rattled and baffled by the announcement, he does everything in his might to make her stay by his side. Eventually, he develops affection for his trustworthy and long-time assistant and finds himself falling for her. The show will air on screen in 2024, exciting Hallyu enthusiasts and avid Filipino fans alike.
