Kim Go-Eun Just Shared The Poster Of Her New Short Film, And We're Intrigued

Titled "Untact," the short film tackles the all-too-relatable dilemma of yearning and loving from afar in the midst of a pandemic

Leave it to Korean filmmakers, actors, and actresses to create timely and relevant art and share it with viewers when we need it most.

Untact, a new short film by award-winning writer and director Kim Jee-woon, is coming out soon and giving new meaning to art imitating life. With Metro.Style Most Beautiful Korean Actresses poll's Top 3 finisher Kim Go-eun as its female lead, Untact revolves around the story of two lovers unable to see each other in person but try to maintain their closeness as the global health crisis wears on.

Reports about the new short film first came out in August, and finally, Kim Go-eun herself has given excited audiences their first real sneak peek of the film. She shared Untact's official poster on her Instagram just yesterday, setting the tone for the intriguing (and all-too-relatable) project.

Kim Go-eun stars alongside Kim Joo-hun who also appears on the poster, a detail that tells us that they could very well be the lovers separated by the pandemic.

Most interestingly, Untact was filmed with Samsung mobile phones as a way to promote the South Korean electronics brand's new 8K quantum dot LED technology. Of course, this also relates to how the COVID-19 crisis has made our mobile phones so much more indispensable in our lives with our "new normal" lifestyle, adding an extra layer of meaning to the short film.
