<p>In the June 15 episode of MBC’s <em><strong>Radio Star</strong></em>, <strong>Kim Min-kyu</strong> revealed that he became a trainee for a brief period for <strong>SEVENTEEN</strong>. A South Korean boy band, SEVENTEEN is made up of 13 members clustered into three teams that showcase talents from every performance expertise. </p><div><br/></div><p><a href="https://www.soompi.com/article/1531116wpp/a-business-proposal-star-kim-min-kyu-reveals-he-once-trained-alongside-seventeen-to-become-an-idol" target="_blank">As reported by Soompi</a>, in his guesting stint, the 27-year-old actor shared, “I don’t know if I would have necessarily been in that group, but there are people that I trained together with. They’re SEVENTEEN.” </p><div><br/></div><p>Prior to Kim Min-kyu’s leap to popularity, he used to undergo training with the team to become an idol. “I was only a trainee for a month,” he explained, noting that he eventually quit his quest for a K-pop career. “I wasn’t extremely good at singing to the extent of becoming a singer, and I’m really bad at dancing. Prior to this, he also starred in 2019 dramas <em>Perfume</em> and <em>Queen: Love and War</em>, and had supporting roles in the series <em>Backstreet Rookie</em> and <em>So I Married the Anti-Fan</em>. </p><div><br/></div><p>He is known for his signature dimples, swimmer physique, and a big plus—his chiseled jawline! While his cradle at the moment is acting, he has had his moments in singing that fans can swoon at.
