Which Korean Celeb Couples Are Likely To Get Married Next?

Here’s a couple that has been through so much and yet they’re still staying strong. The two actors met during a campaign shoot for fashion brand Giordano in January 2015. That same year, in July, Korean media outlet “Dispatch” revealed that they had been dating for two months, sharing that a source close to the two said, “[Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah] started to show interest from February, when they were shooting ads together, and officially started to meet after May.” Shortly after, their agencies confirmed the news.

Despite the announcement, the two kept their relationship low-key, though Shin Min-ah would openly support Kim Woo-bin by sending a food truck on the set of his K-drama “Uncontrollably Fond.” However, he had to go on a hiatus after this series because he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in May 2017. Throughout this ordeal, Shin Min-ah stayed by his side and would even accompany him on his hospital visits, and in order to do this, she also took a break from acting for about a year.

In early 2019, Kim Woo-bin’s cancer treatments were completed. And before that year ends, Shin Min-ah returned on the small screen with the K-drama “Chief of Staff;” her boyfriend also made sure to support her by sending a coffee truck on the set of her series. In late 2019, he made his first public appearance since his cancer diagnosis, attending the 40th Blue Dragon Movie Awards. Come February 2020, Kim Woo-bin was ready to return to the limelight and signed with the agency of Shin Min-ah, AM Entertainment. In April last year, it was reported that, for the first time, the two will be working on the same project, the TV series “Our Blues.” Kim Woo-bin is 32 years old, and Shin Min-ah is 37.

Sooyoung and Jung Kyung-Ho

They’ve been together for almost a decade, so it really won’t be surprising to find out if they’re going to get married soon. Idol-actress Sooyoung and actor Jung Kyung-ho met through a mutual friend, but they’re also both products of Chung-Ang University’s theater department and are devout Christians who attend the same church. In an interview on tvN’s “Life Bar,” he said, “[My friend and I] really liked Girls’ Generation. Before I started dating, we went to their concerts, because we liked them so much.” From acquaintances and sunbae-hoobae, the two became closer and have been dating since early 2013, as confirmed by their agencies.

In an interview with “Ilgan Sports,” Jung Kyung-ho commented on that, saying, “I don’t have any plans on marriage yet. I know I’ll feel stable after marrying so I do want to marry, but I can’t just do it for myself. I also have to think about my partner. I want to help her [Sooyoung] begin her career as an actress by being her stepping stone. I don’t want to burden her or disrupt her career with marriage. I want to see Sooyoung working actively. I think we can get married afterward.” Jung Kyung-ho is 38 years old, and Sooyoung is 32.

Lee Sun-Bin and Lee Kwang-Soo

Singer/actress Lee Sun-bin and actor/entertainer Lee Kwang-soo met on the set of South Korean variety show “Running Man,” wherein he was a regular cast member and she had an appearance in 2016. They immediately had a connection while shooting her guest episode, with Lee Sun-Bin even saying about Lee Kwang-soo: “His way of bickering makes me think that we’re well-suited.” He felt the same way, too, joking later on, “I’ve decided to start dating Lee Sun Bin. We’ll announce our marriage next week.” They stayed in touch since and, finally, in December 2018, it was confirmed that the two had been dating for five months at the time.

His agency, King Kong by Starship, released a statement: “Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Sun Bin have been dating for five months. After meeting on ‘Running Man,’ the two eventually became lovers, and they are currently accompanying each other to gatherings and introducing each other as their significant others.”

Although they weren’t spared from breakup rumors, they just seem to be getting stronger and stronger together. In a guest appearance on “residential check” reality program “My Fantasy House” in February 2021, Lee Sun-bin hinted that they’re still together. And in an interview in August 2021, Lee Kwang-soo was asked about the status of his relationship with the actress, to which he replied: “We are still doing well. We are dating like any ordinary couple.” Lee Kwang-soo is 36 years old, and Lee Sun-bin is 28.

Theirs is a classic friends turned lovers story. In September 2016, “Sports Chosun” reported that Se7en and Lee Da-hae are dating. A source confirmed it and was quoted, saying, “They have been friends for a long time, and they gave each other strength during difficult times and naturally developed into lovers. It seems that they have been lovers for almost a year. They are a couple who enjoy dating often in Thailand and Hong Kong, and they are a good couple to see.”

In a guest appearance on MBC Every1’s “Video Star” in January 2019, Se7en said of his girlfriend, “She has great energy. I think that’s why we fit well together. As we give each other positive energy, we give each other strength.” Just last month, the couple made their first appearance together on MBC’s “The Manager” (“Omniscient Interfering View”) wherein they shared fun stories about their relationship.

In that guest appearance on “The Manager,” Lee Da-hae even revealed they almost broke up last year because of a major fight, but then she realized how fortunate it is to be with a partner whose family she really loves. She said, “His sisters and his parents are amazing. His parents are truly the best. I couldn't break up with this man last year even after a huge fight because I kept thinking about his family.” She later joked, “I thought, one doesn't come across a family like that everyday. I mean, one can meet a man [Se7en] like that again but not his family (laughs).” Both of them are 37 years old.
