Korean actor Lee Seung-gi and actress Lee Da-in are confirmed to be dating. The news first broke yesterday, May 24, through a report made by Sports Kyunghang which stated that the two have been a couple since late last year. Both reportedly bonded over their love for acting and golf.
Following this report, Lee Da-in's agency, 9Ato Entertainment, confirmed the dating rumor by saying that "they had met as a senior and junior (in the same industry) and have been carefully getting to know each other since five or six months ago."
Korean media outlet Dispatch, which also revealed the relationship of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin early this year, then released photos of Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in which were taken when they visited his grandmother.
Lee Seung-gi's thriller K-drama, Mouse, just ended last May 20. This series gave him his first-ever villain role, for which he was praised by many. In an interview, he said, "I'm still dazed by all the compliments my acting has received. I've always wanted to be recognized for my acting, but I've also always felt that I was lacking. I'm grateful and happy to have received so much praise for this project. The most meaningful compliment I heard was, 'It was different from the psychopaths that we'd seen onscreen before.' The script for Mouse was so solid that I thought I would get absorbed into the overall storyline, but a lot of people have also shown interest in the character as well."
Lee Da-in, on the other hand, was last seen in a supporting role as a reporter in 2020 series Alice.
Meanwhile, last May 15, actress Han Ye-seul also made her relationship with theater actor Ryu Sung-jae Instagram-official. In her post, she thanked everyone who congratulated her and her boyfriend, and pointed out that he is 10 years younger than her; she's 39.
She wrote, "Thank you so much for congratulating and blessing our love. My boyfriend is 10 years younger than me, so he calls me a puppy Cute, sweet, lovely, and above all, I'm so happy to be together I'll try to grow it beautifully. Thank you."
She followed this up by posting photos of her with her boyfriend out on a date, writing while hinting at possibly suing people for defamation, "I read too many comments one by one; We would appreciate it if you captured the defamatory comments and forwarded them later when necessary."
