K-Pop Boy Band EXO Is Set To Make A Comeback, And We're Sure They'll Do So In Style

Hallyu (or the so-called "Korean Wave") has undoubtedly taken over the world. But with all the talented K-Pop groups we've come across with these days, what makes EXO a standout?

With a good mixture of rock, hip-hop, R&B and rap—plus awesome concepts every single comeback—EXO's style and musicality make them one of the most sought-after all-boys K-Pop groups.

EXO is composed of nine members: Suho, Xiumin, D.O, Chen, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Lay, Kai, and Sehun. The group has been hitting the charts since their debut in 2012. Although they were originally formed with 12 members, the boys of EXO never fail to make fans swoon over their music, performance, and fashion!

2018 for EXO

This year has been very good for EXO for a number of reasons.

Representing the K-Pop industry in the international scene, EXO’s "Power" will be played in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Finals on Sunday, July 15. This is the result of them winning in the football tournament's Twitter poll.

"Power" also happens to be the first K-Pop song played in The Dubai Fountain last January, which is a remarkable addition to EXO’s list of achievements.

EXO also performed in the closing ceremonies of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics 2018, wherein they gave a spectacular performance that left the audience in the stadium and the netizens completely in awe.

Wearing white suits with blue and red piping details by Gucci, these guys—no doubt—all looked dashing.

Further proving the group's success is the fact that Korean National Mint—a government establishment responsible for printing and minting South Korea's currency—launched a commemorative medal for the group as a way of recognizing EXO's worldwide achievements.

“Nation’s Pick” is the title given to EXO by the South Korean government. The group was also chosen as public ambassadors of South Korea by its Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

It's also worth mentioning that EXO trended worldwide for their first Twitter anniversary last July 9. For the occasion, they even released their own Twitter emoji which comes with several hashtags that served as teasers for what are about to come for the group. EXO-Ls, as their fans call themselves, cannot help but be overwhelmed with excitement with the following hashtags: #EXO. #weareoneEXO. #EXOPLANET. #TheElyXiOn_dot. #EXO_ComingSoon.

Fashion kings

Aside from being K-Pop stars, its members are also known for their great sense of style.

Lay, a member and also a producer, turned heads in the latest Valentino show as the Greater China brand ambassador. The pop star was hailed as best-dressed in the said event.

He was also praised by Vogue for being a trendsetter with his tiger-patterned overcoat from Valentino’s Fall 2018 collection.

Sehun, the "maknae" (meaning, the youngest of the group) is also the best-dressed man at the Louis Vuitton Resort 2018 show. The brand has named him the best-dressed for two years in a row. At the event, Sehun also got to mingle with Hollywood celebrities like Emma Stone.

The list for EXO members being best-dressed is not yet done! Kai also bagged the title in the 2018 Gucci Cruise Fashion show.

Kai totally nailed Gucci’s cyborg theme for this year’s show with his sparkling fringed headdress matched with a checkered wool suit all from Gucci’s Fall 2018 men’s collection.

While Kai is truly an eye-candy in the Gucci show, Suho, Xiumin, Chen, and D.O. are also total experts in grabbing everyone’s attention wherever they go!

Suho is absolutely a hottie even in his plain white tee and denim coat ensemble.

Although the eldest in the group, Xiumin sure knows how to dress up with a youthful flair.

Chen's hip style is likewise perfect for their group's cool branding.

D.O., deemed as the most conservative in the group, can turn the halls of the airport into his own runway even with a simple and classy outfit.

Chanyeol was also scene-stealing at the Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2017 show, where he was among those sitting on the front row.

Another fashion milestone EXO members achieved is the opportunity to launch their own fashion line, Prive by BBH, designed by Baekhyun. The fashion line has been very well received.

What's next for EXO?

Even with their numerous sold-out albums and concerts for the past six years, EXO remains connected to the EXO-Ls.

EXO has been quite quiet, save for a couple of fan meetings and concerts here and there. But EXO-Ls know better and have taken this silence as a sign that their idols are in the middle of preparing for their upcoming comeback. Rumors have it that this will happen by late 2018.

Lay, who has taken a break from the group, just came back to South Korea, and their fans are thrilled about it. His stay in the country could definitely mean a grand comeback for EXO.

EXO-Ls, are you ready for their grand comeback? You must be! Because we're sure, it’s gonna be extremely worth the wait.
