Can Love Defeat Evil? Richard Gutierrez, Kathryn Bernardo, And Daniel Padilla On The Finale Of "La Luna Sangre"

The hit primetime teleserye La Luna Sangre is down to its last two weeks!

Metro.Style got the chance to chat with the show’s core cast at the recent La Luna Sangre thanksgiving press conference.

Richard Gutierez (Supremo), Kathryn Bernardo (Malia), and Daniel Padilla (Tristan) are grateful for the opportunity to play their respective characters and couldn’t wait for the audience to witness what they have in store for them for the show's finale.

May twists…,” Richard hints.

The show garnered a large following and fans are very much involved in theorizing future storylines—including the one where Angel Locsin’s character, Jacintha, is Malia in the future, that they are one person. “Mawi-witness nila 'yun dito, in the last two weeks, kung ano 'yung naging purpose ni Ate Angel sa pagpunta niya sa present world ni Tristan and Malia,” Kathryn shares.

Love Versus Evil

As the show gets closer to its finale, viewers are wondering if Malia and Tristan’s love could defeat the evil plans of Supremo. According to Malia herself, love will always win.

[But] at the end of the day, kahit gaano kasama ’yung isang tao, p'wede mo rin mabago dahil sa pagmamahal," Kathryn says. "Hindi naging madali ’yung journey ni Malia and Tristan pero ang importante doon, hawak-kamay sila para malagpasan lahat ’yun”

What’s Next?

The three have been very busy filming the last few episodes of La Luna Sangre. They’re taping almost every day. “Excited kami sa mga pwede pa naming ipakita sa audience,” Daniel says.

But as busy as they are, these actors are also preparing for another chapter in their careers.

Richard, who is expecting his second baby with fiancée Sarah Lahbati, shared his plans after La Luna Sangre. “May matindi akong plano pagkatapos nito…” Richard shares, “Magpapahinga po muna ako [laughs]. As of now, naka-concentrate pa rin kami sa La Luna syempre pa-finale na. But may gagawin akong movie with Star Cinema. After La Luna, I think pinapatapos lang 'yung La Luna, and then I’m gonna ask for a little bit of time off just to rejuvenate and spend time with my family and after that, we’re gonna start the movie na, para fresh lang 'yung approach sa movie.”

KathNiel fans are going to be thrilled because their favorite pair is gearing up for their next big movie directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. “May US tour lang po kami sa March and then April, two weeks po kaming pahinga and then movie na po, under Star Cinema and Direk Cathy, 'yun po 'yung sisimulan namin. So, ’yun! May magtatapos pero may magsisimula na panibago na naman.” Kathryn says.
