Toblerone tapped the help of TV host and comedian Luis Manzano to be their Valentine campaign’s love guru. This is to help people with their love issues, queries and even when it comes to giving tips and advice to help them come up with the most thoughtful gifts for their loved ones.

Asked what makes him a credible and effective love guru, Luis readily replied, “Because I am not perfect. I don’t think being a guru is about being perfect about a certain topic. Para sa akin, I’ve been through a lot and hopefully, I learned a lot. I guess that makes me a credible guru.”

Lois Locson, brand manager for Toblerone, believes that Luis suits the role of a love guru to a tee. “When the team was discussing about it, we wanted someone who’s really credible and who has this relationship na rin with someone na… when we saw iyong dynamics nila ni Jessy [Mendiola], ah si Lucky talaga he’s super funny and he has own quirk. Once he talks about his ‘HowHow,’ sabi namin perfect ito for Toblerone Love Guru. He’s so funny, very relatable and at the same time, as Luis said, hindi siya perfect. Tao siyang kausap,” Locson said.

Ako, I want to do something special of course for my wife for February 14 and isasabay ko na sa wedding anniversary namin. The best advice I could give is you do not have to wait for an exact date to celebrate the love. Every day should be courtship, every day should be Valentine’s and you always have to do sweet surprises for your loved ones. You always need to make conscious efforts to keep your partner happy,” he shared.
