Lovi Poe, Piolo Pascual as Their "Flower of Evil" Characters

Excitement is building up, as we’ve finally caught a glimpse of Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe as their Flower of Evil characters. The two Kapamilya stars are the leads of this South Korean drama’s Philippine adaptation.

In the stills shared on social media by Lovi and Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, we see the “Ultimate Heartthrob” Piolo with platinum blond hair (one photo shows him only wearing a denim apron and a pair of denim pants) and the perennially stylish Lovi dressed-down for her character.

This melodrama suspense series from CJ ENM/tvN, which originally starred Lee Joon-gi and Moon Chae-won, is about a couple whose marriage will be tested because of a series of murders. The wife, a detective, will uncover a mystery about her husband and his twisted past that led him to take on a different identity. 

It was in September of last year when Lovi transferred to ABS-CBN and when it was also first revealed that the Kapamilya network is doing the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama Flower of Evil. The announcement was made alongside the contract signing events of Piolo and Lovi with ABS-CBN. Flower of Evil PH marks the first acting project of Lovi as a Kapamilya.

In our exclusive interview with Metro cover girl Lovi last year, she shared her thoughts on getting this huge opportunity: “I remember Sir Deo [Endrinal] was like ‘We want you to play the girl in Flower of Evil. I remember just thinking, ‘This is one of my favorite shows.’ It wasn’t sinking in for a while and then it even got better. They were like, ‘And you’re gonna be playing it with Mr. Piolo Pascual.’ And I was just like, ‘Yeah, I thought Flower of Evil was the best news about it but then all of a sudden, there was Piolo Pascual tandem. I was speechless for a while. And I remember talking to my manager [Leo Dominguez], and I was like, ‘You have to watch this Korean drama because it’s one of my favorites.’ I keep saying it, but it is a dream come true. The fact that they’re trusting me with such an amazing show, an amazing storyline.”

Joining Flower of Evil PH lead stars Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual in the powerhouse cast are Pinky Amador, Jett Pangan, Rita Avila, Robert Seña, Epy Quizon, Agot Isidro, Kit Thompson, Denise Laurel, Joross Gamboa, and Edu Manzano.
