Maris Racal in Her Sexy-Edgy Birthday Photo Shoot

Maris Racal is a trendsetter and her recent birthday photo shoot is proof!

The actress and singer turned 27 last September 22, marking the occasion with a new set of photos. Her creativity and zest for stepping out of the box are mirrored in her unique fashion editorial. 

Incredibly witty, Maris matched the photos with funny captions: "She turned twenty seven yesterday" for the first set and "apaccan mo ko te" for the next one. 

Styled by Adrianne Concepcion, the birthday girl rocked three cute and sexy outfits: a red leather heart-shaped top and mini skirt; a printed cropped top with a beige skirt and statement belt; and a dark blue corset top with a bubble skirt.  

Hairstylist Valerie Corpuz enhanced Maris' short mane with a sleek and edgy hairstyle that highlights her micro bangs. Thanks to makeup artists Jay Salcedo and Cent Bermas, Maris also looked extra glowing with flushed cheeks and rosy lips. 

Maris' recent breakthrough performance in the series Can't Buy Me Love, where she was paired with actor Anthony Jennings, helped boost her popularity. She's booked and busy, being one of the most in-demand young leading ladies in local showbiz today. 

Her psychological sports drama film, Sunshine, premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival last September 13. Maris, however, wasn't able to attend the event because she was in Italy shooting her upcoming series Incognito. 

Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, the film features Maris as Sunshine, a young gymnast who finds out she's pregnant during what could be a career-defining moment in her life. She may not have made it to Sunshine's premiere at TIFF, but she and her team still recreated a fashion moment to mark her career milestone.

Maris shared a photo shoot where she donned the creation she was supposed to wear at the premiere: a black backless dress with long sleeves, a turtleneck-style neckline, and a three-toned flowy skirt with a thigh-high slit by Marc Rancy; her look was accessorized with hoop earrings and a pair of red stilettos that complimented her polished hair and makeup look. 

Maris is also a cast member of the upcoming movie And the Breadwinner Is…, an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, starring Vice Ganda, Eugene Domingo, and Jhong Hilario.
