Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil Channel This Iconic Couple For Their Pre-Nup Shoot in Paris

Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil are tying the knot soon, and the release of their pre-nup photos in Paris and the announcement of sorts of what appears to be their official wedding hashtag, #MagalonaMananquil, make us look forward more to their big day. 

While they will not follow the trend in holding a destination wedding as they have decided to get married in the Philippines, the couple jetted off to the City of Love for their pre-nuptial photoshoot. In an exclusive interview with StarStudio for the magazine's July 2017 issue, Maxene shared, "I asked Rob if it was okay for us to get married in the Philippines, because my dad is buried here. Right away, he agreed."

The photos, shot by go-to celebrity wedding photographer Pat Dy and his teammates Francis Perez and Caliber King, show Maxene and Rob by the famous landmarks in Paris: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Musée du Louvre, River Seine, Pont des Arts, and Love Lock bridge.

Their laid-back yet dreamy photoshoot incorporated two things they both love: “music and traveling.” They enjoy watching concerts and going to music festivals together as well. Some photos show Rob holding a guitar, which fits him perfectly as he is the guitarist of the Pinoy rock band Pulso.

And if there’s a local celebrity couple that has mastered the art of couple dressing, it’s definitely Maxene and Rob. They love coordinating their outfits—and taking couple #OOTDs—whenever they’re stepping out or traveling.

For their pre-nup, the stylish couple opted for understatedly fashionable clothes. They worked with celebrity stylist Myrrh Lao To, who shared with Metro.Style that Maxene and Rob were very hands-on with the preparations for this shoot. As for the concept and look the couple was going for, Myrrh says, “The keywords they used were iconic couple looks like that of John and Yoko. Pat Dy shot them in different locations in Paris and didn’t require them to be pose-y. It was very organic and real.”

This is not the first time that the couple channelled John Lennon and Yoko Ono. For Halloween in 2015, they dressed up and posed as the iconic couple.

The couple has been together for about two years now. Rob proposed to Maxene last Valentine’s Day in Tokyo Dome City’s “Luminous Tunnel.”
