Maymay Entrata Will Not Be An Asia's Next Top Model Contender—At Least, Not Yet!
It's a dream for many of Maymay's fans to see her in this popular modeling competition on TV, but they may have to wait till that finally happens.

The Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 Big Winner, who celebrated her 21st birthday last May 6, is more than just a girl who made it to the finish line. Maymay Entrata, at just 21 years old, has starred in movies and television shows, is a best-selling singer, and favorite cover girl and sought-after fashion and beauty ed subject. She is one half of MayWard—one of the Philippines' most popular love teams to date—and is also an burgeoning model.
That last accomplishment in particular is what's been garnering her a lot of buzz as of late. With the sixth season of hit TV program Asia's Next Top Model on the horizon, many have touted Maymay as the Philippines' entry in the illustrious competition's next round.
After all, last season's challenge saw Filipina Maureen Wroblewitz bring home the gold; many believe that Maymay is capable of achieving the same feat for a back-to-back win.
Most notably, fans remembered how the program's famous host and supermodel, Tyra Banks, took notice of Maymay's outfit at the 2017 Star Magic Ball. The rising star donned a heavily beaded Mark Bumgarner ball gown in white whose voluminous skirt and well-fitted bodice brought out the best in Maymay's svelte frame.
Of all the beautiful celebrities in attendance that night, it was Maymay that earned a rare "like" from Tyra when photos of her at the event circulated on Twitter.

Looking back at this memorable event, Maymay's fans were quick to make an Asia's Next Top Model Facebook fan page last April that listed Maymay as one of the ladies on the show's "wish list." The post set off rumors about Maymay's participation in the popular show, which she finally put a lid on once and for all during an interview on the online show, PUSH Bets: Live.
The May birthday girl confirmed that she would not be on Asia's Next Top Model, but is extremely grateful to all those who saw her potential. This came after a tweet from her published on May 1 that confirmed the same.

She acknowledged that she isn't yet equipped with the set of skills needed to become a top model and if, indeed, she decides to pursue modeling in the future, she'll have to train for it.
"Pero kung bibigyan ako ng pagkakataon sa susunod na mga taon at handa na ako, oo, bakit naman po hindi?” she ends.
