Maymay Entrata on What a Stress-Free Day Is Like for Her
At a virtual meet and greet event, she also looked back on her journey to knowing her value and finding self-worth
In more than five years that Maymay Entrata has been in showbiz, one thing remains the same: her humble personality. No matter how successful she has been as a Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 Big Winner, an actress, a singer, and a performer with sold-out concerts, this 24-year-old is still the polite, authentic, and kind-hearted person many fans loved since she was launched to stardom.
But since stepping out of Big Brother’s house, one thing noticeably changed in Maymay: she’s become more confident. Her road to self-love is something many young women can be inspired by. From the timid girl in Misamis Oriental, she now sings women empowerment songs like “Amakabogera,” with lyrics like “Amakabogera, ganda ko'y irarampa / 'Di magpapatinag sa sasabihin ng iba / Amakabogera, umaapaw ang karisma / Ang tunay kong ganda, sa lahat naiiba.”
No doubt, part of this head-turning Pinay’s appeal is her beauty that comes from within. She has come far but it’s important for her to not forget the past that shaped her present, as well as the people who contributed to her success and growth. She acknowledges she wouldn’t have made such amazing feats without the people and the brands that believed in her, and of course, her fans who loved and supported her every step of the way.
To give back to her fans, she recently held a virtual Meet & Greet that was organized by MEGAN Beauty, a brand that Maymay has been endorsing for four years. Though Maymay was in Canada, where she pursues her studies, and it was about 2 a.m. there when the event was held with her fans in the Philippines, she was very game to participate in the games and Q&A segments.
Maymay was named as the first celebrity endorser of MEGAN Beauty in 2018 for the products MEGAN Peel-Off Masks, MEGAN Face Sheet, MEGAN Nose Pore Strips, MEGAN Facial and Body Wax Kits, MEGAN Eye Gel Patch, and the MEGAN Clay Masks.
Maymay, who Instagrammed a photo with her “Valentino,” last Valentine’s Day, said that she’s very happy these days: “Buong February ko, masayang-masaya po…

On confidence
On shaping one’s own definition of beauty
On what a stress-free day is like for her
On a beauty mistake she made when she was younger
Never allow the insecurity na kainin kayo.
