The Full List Of Winners At MMFF 2022 Awards
Nadine Lustre, her movie "Deleter," and "Nanahimik ang Gabi" star Ian Veneracion lead the roster of winners at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival
The 48th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) held its "Gabi ng Parangal" awards ceremony on December 27 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. The big winners of the night were Best Actress Nadine Lustre, her movie Deleter (which garnered seven awards), and Best Actor Ian Veneracion for Nanahimik ang Gabi.
With the theme "Balik Saya sa MMFF 2022," there is a noticeably renewed interest in the moviegoing experience for Filipinos, as the pandemic lockdowns saw theaters temporarily shutting down. As a result, the 2020 edition was held virtually, while last year's festival had restrictions both in cinema capacity and public activities. This year, it was a full-scale return to cinemas and the Parade of Stars was also held last December 21 with the traditional motorcade of floats.

With the tradition of watching MMFF movies in theaters on holidays back in full swing, the film festival also didn't disappoint by offering a range of genres in its roster this year: rom-com Labyu With an Accent (starring Jodi Sta. Maria and Coco Martin); action-comedy Partners in Crime (starring Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi); horror/psychological thriller Deleter (starring Nadine Lustre, Louise delos Reyes, McCoy de Leon, and Jeffrey Hidalgo); thriller/action Nanahimik ang Gabi (starring Ian Veneracion, Heaven Peralejo, and Mon Confiado); family drama My Teacher (starring Toni Gonzaga and Joey de Leon); action-drama Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told (starring Edu Manzano, Aljur Abrenica, and Paolo Gumabao); family drama Family Matters (starring Noel Trinidad and Liza Lorena); and drama My Father, Myself (starring Dimples Romana, Sean de Guzman, and Jake Cuenca).
