Metro Talks, Featuring K-Pop Boy Group TREASURE

We briefly chatted with the members of TREASURE about their newly-released EP, "THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE," their goals for 2022, and more

TREASURE is a 12-member South Korean boy band that was formed by YG Entertainment in 2020 through its reality-survival program YG Treasure Box.


Its current members are CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN


They released three single albums in 2020: THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE, THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO, and THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE.


On January 2021, TREASURE released their first studio album, THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT. Now, after more than a year of waiting, their fans, Treasure Makers, finally got fresh music, as the group released a comeback EP titled THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE, with the catchy lead track “Jikjin,” last February 15. As of this writing, the music video of “Jikjin” now has more than 53 million views on TREASURE’s YouTube channel. Members CHOI HYUN SUK, BANG YE DAM, HARUTO, and YOSHI also contributed to the EP through songwriting; the EP also includes tracks “U,” “Darari,” and  “It’s Okay.”
