In our next love letter to Manila, another favorite love team explored the city for our annual Philippine issue. Young and lively couple, #MayWard was introduced to the bustling city of Escolta. Channeling the color and vibrance of the ‘70s, #MayMayEntrata wore garments by #MarkBumgarner while #EdwardBarber wore #FrancisLibiran. The third love team is MayWard: Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber. These Metro.Style cover stars' showbiz careers and love team started via Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7. Considered as a phenomenal love team for their meteoric rise to stardom, MayWard is well loved for their authenticity and relatability. In just about a year since they became artistas, they've already managed to build a solid fandom. Anything Maymay and Edward do or release instantly becomes viral or a trending topic on social media. And perhaps the top reason for their love team's success is that these two are, first and foremost, friends who truly love being around each other. Here, they talk about how they describe their relationship and why they mesh well together, and share their excitement to explore the historic streets of Escolta in Manila for this Metro shoot:

Maymay: "Indescribable. Ano... soulmates!"

Edward: "She's my best friend on the way to being a soulmate. Maymay is one of my closest friends ever and one of the most influential people in my life. Every challenge I've gone through in showbiz, she's been there and she understood it... We're each other's support system. She's been there through all of it. It's self-explanatory how important she is."

Maymay: "I like na totoo s'ya. Kapag times na seryoso, seryoso s'ya. Kapag baliw, baliw s'ya. Minsan din mysterious s'ya, hindi mo s'ya mababasa. Tapos matalino at maalaga s'ya... Para sa akin, opposites talaga kami. Tahimik s'ya, mas maingay ako. Culture n'ya iba, culture ko rin iba. Language namin magkaiba. Iyong pagkakaiba namin ang dahilan kaya nagiging swak kami. Mas maganda pala kapag medyo magkaiba kayo kasi may natututunan kami sa isa't-isa."

Edward: "We mesh well because we're very different people. She's the really energetic one... I'm quiet. I like watching and observing people. So we're like extreme opposites there. In terms of mindset and personality, we're very similar... We understand each other, no filter."
