Surprise! Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Are Married!
To the delight of the fans of couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, the days leading to December 25 were not only merry because of Christmas, they also had another reason to be happy about: the "secret" wedding of the two that truly surprised us all.
Photos and videos of Miley and Liam in what seemed to be an event that was more than just a Christmas gathering have circulated online early this week, causing quite a stir in the cyberworld in the midst of the holiday chaos. Rumors of the two getting married spread fast until the couple themselves made their wedding Instagram official with a series of romantic and dramatic black and white photographs.
"12.23.18," captions Miley, announcing on social media the day she became Mrs. Hemsworth. In another photo, the couple locked lips, sealing their union with a kiss, with this caption by Miley: "This is probably our one-millionth kiss..." No, this is not a drill. This wedding is for real, and we love how simple and low-key it was!
We’ve been witnesses to the couple’s on- and off-relationship—meeting and falling in love on the set of their 2009 film The Last Song, getting engaged two years after, only to break up. Then later on, they reconnected in 2015 and got engaged once again in 2016. "10 years later," Miley captions another Instagram photo, as if saying Liam was truly worth the wait.
Earlier this year, there were speculations about this secret wedding, but they denied the news in August. The couple managed to keep the details of their wedding under wraps.
Thanks to the lovebirds’ surfer friend Conrad Carr, whose Instagram stories showed a photo of Miley and Liam while cutting their wedding cake, we got a glimpse of their intimate celebration. The bride was radiant in an ivory off-shoulder gown, while the groom looked dapper as ever in a black suit with a crisp white inner shirt.
Another Instagram stories post showed a video of Liam with his brothers Chris and Luke having a great time with the "shotski." In the last seconds of the video, metallic pink balloons that spell "Mr & Mrs" can be seen in the background.
The Malibu hitmaker’s sisters, Noah and Brandi, also gave hints on the wedding through IG Stories, with the two posing together with Conrad, the "Mrs" balloon clearly seen behind them.
The intimate ceremony, attended by the couple's family and close friends, was held at their $8.2 million, 7,000-square-foot Tennessee mansion on December 23. Apart from a spread of sweet treats, a report from Radar Online spilled that guests enjoyed "crispy fried chicken from Big Shake's Hot Chicken and Fish in Franklin;" an employee from the chicken company confirmed a special delivery made to their address.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
