Mo Twister, Angelika Schmeing And Their "Insanely Romantic" Iceland Wedding

"Metro in Love" featured personalities Mo Twister and Angelika Schmeing got married in Iceland last June 15, and in Mo's words, their wedding was "insanely romantic."

As the story goes, the couple had to deal with changes in their wedding plans due to the weather in Iceland, their breathtakingly beautiful destination of choice for this very intimate event.

Mo shares on Instagram, "Here’s a tip about getting married in a far away wilderness like Iceland. Have not one but two backup plans 😂 for the second time we have been here together, things we had scheduled a long time ago were cancelled by weather. We had some extreme weather that made us have to completely overhaul the entire day. Where we scheduled to have our ceremony, changed due to a summertime snow storm. Angelika’s wedding dress was ripped by the weather and the elements. My clothes drenched. We moved to several locations, the kids nearly froze to death, they had to stay in the hotel cuz they just couldn’t handle the weather any longer, then like a miracle, we found a bright, calm and SUNNY spot wherein it ended up with just the two of us. Insane and insanely romantic. It was incredible. Our amazing videographer didnan awesome job leading the way. And yay! I get to finally wear a wedding ring!! I love you @angelicopter, no wedding hashtag."

Mo Twister and Angelika Schmeing are radio DJs and podcast hosts, who met back when they were still working for Magic 89.9. The two now collaborate on the podcast Good Times With Mo, where he did his unique wedding proposal back in May last year. The plan was to have a fake caller call on his podcast. With Angelika listening in, she would entertain this fake caller's story about her live-in boyfriend stalling marriage plans for years and years.

In an exclusive interview with Metro.Style, Mo recalls their engagement story: "It's somewhat similar to her reality, though my script was really to get her angry, you know, really rile her up... If I can get her angry and come in with the proposal, we’ll get a nice roller coaster out of it, which I think could be fun," Mo explains. "So, I planted a caller to mimic something similar to the situation we’re going through as a couple, and then we had the caller go, 'I just want my boyfriend to say, 'Angelika, will you take Mo with this ring and be his wife?' Or whatever it was."

Mo Twister and Angelika Schmeing have been together for nine years. They're parents to daughter Amsterdam and son Luca (her son from a previous relationship), and they're now based in Las Vegas. Mo also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
