Everything You Want To Know About Moira Dela Torre And Jason Marvin Hernandez's Wedding
As a pair of best friends who turned into a made-for-each-other couple, singers Moira Dela Torre and Jason Marvin Hernandez were the stars of a wedding that was equal parts touching and beautiful.
Everyone will remember how their road to "I do" began; Moira was away working on her music video for super hit "Tagpuan," when Jason surprised her with an actual proposal as filming was wrapping up. The unexpected moment (that naturally became the eight-minute long video's highlight) won the hearts of millions, and of course, made everyone anticipate what their wedding was going to be like.
They didn't disappoint; the ceremony was just as touching as everyone dreamed it would be and filled with personal touches that reflected Moira and Jason's journey. From the bride's fairy tale-like dress to the outdoor venue, their first kiss—ever!—as a couple and their vows that made us all shed tears of joy, here's everything you need to know about the Hernandez-Dela Torre nuptials.
The beauty squad
Although a bride in love needs little help to make her glow on her special day, a bit of color on her cheeks and lips add a lovely finishing touch.
To accentuate her natural beauty, Moira worked with celebrity hairstylist Florenz and makeup artist Theresa Padin to give her a soft pink, pearly finish that's just right for her complexion. The duo became Moira's friends after working on countless events and looks together, making their work with her extra special on her wedding day.

Next to the bride herself, her wedding gown comes at a close second for what guests anticipate the most.
And when Moira stepped out to walk down the aisle in a lacy, full-volumed Patricia Santos Atelier creation in immaculate white, the gasps from the wedding's 150 guests were audible. The look was magical; the off-shoulder dress with sweetheart neckline became Moira and complemented her in the best way.
Similarly, Moira's entourage were also decked out in pretty dresses from the same designer.
The flowers + setup
Master florist and modern event stylist Gideon Hermosa was the only person Moira needed to pull off her vision. The result? The ceremony decked out in fresh blooms in shades of pink, blue, and ivory to bring out her outdoor venue's inherent beauty.
And although the wedding itself was defined by understated elegance, the reception had a whole different personality. Long tables with plush cream and gold chairs sat beneath canopies of fairy lights resembling the nightsky, a truly romantic setup that captured the event's atmosphere.
Moira's bouquet was also by Gideon.
Music was one of the biggest things that solidified the bond between this husband and wife, therefore, their chosen songs for their biggest day as a couple needed to be thoughtfully picked out.
Exceeding expectations with the songs and balladeers they picked out, Moira and Jason got music industry friends Ben & Ben to do their own rendition of "Tagpuan" while Moira walked down the aisle, and the couple, who are proudly Christian, made sure to sing songs of praise themselves during the ceremony in a heartfelt display of their faith.
On the other and, Moira’s sisters J’mee and Mariah also played parts during the ceremony as they provided vocals during the couple's communion.
Here's where the waterworks became unstoppable.
Moira and Jason made sure that the words professing their lifelong commitment to each other would be nothing short of perfect, and funnily enough, rumor has it that Moira was over an hour late for her wedding as she had stayed up all night thinking of what to say to Jason at the altar.
Her late night was worth it, however, as she had sung him an original song of hers in the moments leading up to their union, and it was one that brought him to tears.
Applause from their star-studded guest list greeted the couple as they shared a kiss not only as husband and wife, but as a couple!
The sweet moment was apparently a big part of Jason's promise to Moira's father to respect her as a partner—that they would withhold from displays of affection until they were officially married. And so, after two years of waiting for the moment, Jason kissed Moira not once, but three times after being proclaimed Mr. and Mrs.!
Moira and Jason have a fanbase of thousands, but their innermost circle is composed of but a handful of friends and family who were there for them since the beginning and witnessed their relationship blossom.
Invited to be a part of their special day were fellow singers Erik Santos, KZ Tandingan, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid and his daughter Leila, siblings Kiana, Paolo and Gab Valenciano, Sam Milby, Inigo Pascual, Robi Domingo, Empoy and Bayani Agbayani (who entertained guests during the reception), Maricar Reyes and Richard Poon, as well as Marjorie Barretto and daughter Dani.
Neither bride nor groom felt the need to pick a venue that could fit hundreds of guests for it to be a meaningful gathering. Instead, they stuck to a guest list of less than 200, picking only those who knew them best and positively influenced them as a couple through their advice, friendship, and genuine support for them. They were invited them to come to Narra Hill in Tagaytay.
The outdoor venue featuring gentle slopes and views from up high was a pretty pick for this time of the year when the weather is gentler, its outdoor airiness adding to the ambience.
The master lensmen
A wedding's memories need to last forever and for that to happen, a bride is going to need the best photographer and videographer she can find.
For Moira's wedding, photographer to the stars Pat Dy was behind all her best photos and her same-day edit video, while Mayad Studios, who previously took care of the couple's pre-nuptial shoot, continued their work with them and took lovely clips all throughout the celebration. (All of these visual memories were, of course, rounded up online with the cute hashtag #AngTagpuan2019).
