Nadine Lustre Bagged Best Actress Award at FAMAS 2023

The actress-singer captured the top acting award at the prestigious affair

After more than one week of releasing its set of nominees for its 71st edition, the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) hailed Nadine Lustre as this year’s Best Actress. Held at Manila Hotel’s Fiesta Pavilion, the annual awards named its winners last Sunday, August 13, 2023

Following her Best Actress stint at last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, Nadine bagged the same title at FAMAS 2023 for her performance in the film “Greed.” In 2019, the multifaceted talent also snagged the Best Actress accolade for the movie “Never Not Love You.” Nadine bested the following nominees for the said category: Liza Lorena for “Family Matters,” Heaven Peralejo for “Nanahimik ang Gabi,” Janine Gutierrez for “Ngayon Kaya,” and Sheila Francisco for “Leonor Will Never Die.”

Sa bumubuo po ng ‘Greed’ and of course to my Viva Films family and Direk Yam Laranas, maraming-maraming salamat po for trusting me—for pushing me and for giving me this opportunity to do ‘Greed.’ Maraming salamat po. Thank you!”

Among the other prizewinners were “Family Matters,” which won Best Picture and Best Editing, Noel Trinidad for Best Actor, Sid Lucero for Best Supporting Actor, and Nikki Valdez for Best Supporting Actress. “Reroute” (Best Sound), “Blue Room” (Best Musical Score and Best Cinematography), “Leonor Will Never Die” (Best Production Design), and “La Traidora” (Best Screenplay) were also recognized at the event.

Congratulations to all winners!
