We've Got Baby News! Supermodel Naomi Campbell Could Be A First-Time Mom At 48
This British supermodel could be passing on her near-perfect set of genes to her first child!
However, the news hasn't been officially confirmed by Naomi, nor her rumored boyfriend and musician, Skepta. Speculations simply began because of a mysterious photo of a sonogram posted by Skepta on his Instagram account a mere hours ago as of this writing with no telltale caption. Clearly showing the image of an unborn infant, his 1.4 million followers have taken it as the 35-year-old's way of announcing his upcoming fatherhood.
Naomi, on the other hand, has been similarly silent about the barrage of questions and inquiries she's received about the surprise. With rumors about her relationship with Skepta ablaze since 2017, many have also assumed that the child is indeed hers and the rapper's.
Looking back at Skepta and Naomi's romantic history, many signs seem to point to the fact that they're preparing for parenthood together:
This supposed couple first met in 2016 at the British Fashion Awards where they were introduced by a common friend. Finding common ground, thanks to their artistic inclinations, they immediately hit it off and chemistry was palpable. While they've never been seen out and about in parties, red carpets, or dinner dates, rumors state that they've mastered the art of dating in secret and have been together since.
In an interview with Evening Standard in the beginning of 2017, the beauty revealed that having children has always been in her periphery, though was in no hurry to have them. She cited scientific advancements as one way to delay child bearing, which she suggested she was considering.
More development came around in October 2017 when Skepta posted a photo of Naomi on his Twitter account with just a heart emoji as a caption. Rarely posting any photos of each other on social media, this Naomi snap certainly stood out.
March of this year proved to be what looked like a turning point for the under-the-radar couple as they posed for British GQ's cover in a steamy, topless photo shoot. Packing on the PDA that fueled relationship rumors, Naomi and Skepta's article unfortunately did not address their boyfriend-girlfriend status—despite the fact that it was titled Race, Sex, Love and Power: When Naomi Met Skepta.
Naomi Campbell and Skepta, two urgent voices of Black Britain, come together for GQ’s next cover: model, activist and businesswoman @iamnaomicampbell and grime artist @skeptagram talk race, sex, love and black power in the April 2018 issue of #GQ, out Thursday 8 March. Come April, Naomi accompanied Skepta—who was born to Nigerian immigrants to the UK—in a traditional ceremony in Nigeria where he was bestowed a chieftain title. The private ceremony was attended by only his innermost circle which included Naomi. A picture from the event made it to Naomi's Twitter, leading fans to plead with the couple to come clean about their relationship's true nature.
And now, for the latest news, they may be expecting! They've managed to evade prying eyes and minds for at least a year to this date, but we're hoping that a possible baby on the way might be the springboard for them to make their relationship official.
