In Photos: The "Nguya Squad" Is Bringing Squad Goals Back

There's a new squad in local showbiz, and they're bringing "squad goals" back!

Introducing the "Nguya Squad!" Well, technically, the group is not really new, as they've been hanging out for years. But, recently, we've been seeing more of their bonding sessions (i.e. Friday nights out and a camping trip), and we're loving every bit of them.

So, who are part of this squad? Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Sofia Andres, Daniel Miranda, Joshua Garcia, Ria Atayde, Pat Sugui, and Aeriel Garcia. Others who are also members of this awesome barkada are Khalil Ramos, Gabbi Garcia, Joe Vargas, Bianca Pauline Yanga, and Dominc Roque.

The cutest thing about this bunch is that they're made up of real-life couples! Talk about friendship and couple goals in one! 

Most recently, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Sofia Andres, Daniel Miranda, Joshua Garcia, Ria Atayde, Pat Sugui, and Aeriel Garcia were spotted hanging out in Palacio de Memoria, a restored pre-war mansion that now serves as an events place. They specifically stayed at the Mosphil Lounge, a passenger plane that was modified to become a bar. 

In her Instagram post, Ria captions, "Dressy dinner? It’s a yes for me! Nice din pala to get out of pambahay and dasters once in a while... Thank you frens for the good memories and fun enough to take me through the ECQ lol here we go again." 

Prior to this, Daniel P, Kathryn, Sofia, Daniel M, Joshua, and Ria also went on an unforgettable adventure: camping! 

Of the wonderful experience, Kathryn writes, "Been wanting to try camping for quite some time now, and I'm so lucky I got to finally experience it with this awesome group! What an unforgettable time that I'd cherish forever—from building our tents, to passing through and swimming in the river, to trekking and cooking our food while having the most random conversations, and to helping each other get through muddy roads. Grabe. WILD. I'm glad I got to experience all these with all of you. Hahaha! Thank you guys for being such troopers! San na tayo next?"

Aside from bonding over food, this group also enjoys doing sporty activities, spending time outdoors, and vlogging together (they recently did guestings on the TGIS segment of Kathryn's YouTube channel, check them out below). They also welcomed 2021 with a "ngu-yacht" party for their engaged friends Pat and Aeriel, and last year they dressed up for Halloween together.
