Not "Just A Girl:" Gwen Stefani Is Heading To Vegas For Her First-Ever Residency!
Lifelong fans of the No Doubt frontwoman, buy your tickets this week!
Those heading to the US this summer or Christmas can look forward to the most awesome Gwen Stefani concert yet!
Gwen, the hugely famous popstar who got us dancing all night long to singles like "Cool," "Hollaback Girl," "Don't Speak," "What You Waiting For?," and "Early Winter" is Vegas-bound. She heads to the entertainment capital of the world this summer to launch her first-ever residency called "Gwen Stefani—Just A Girl."
The 25-show residency will see Gwen performing at the legendary Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood where other musical heavyweights like Jennifer Lopez, the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and Lionel Richie have all had residencies.
Loyal followers of the platinum-bob beauty will be excited to know that this particular set of shows will be tailor-fit for the venue that seats 7,000 people and is equipped with 60 ultra high-definition projectors and LED walls. According to the Live Nation, the show's official promoter, Gwen "will take the stage with a spectacular show like no other, celebrating the breadth of her illustrious musical career.”
Being a singer whose forte ranges from sparkling ballads to perky hip-swaying dance hits, Gwen couldn't have picked a more appropriate venue to feature her world-class talent.
In a statement shared with E! News, she said, "To be able to do a show in Vegas is such an incredible honor. Growing up in Anaheim, California, I could never have imagined one day having my own Vegas residency."
"I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I've never experienced and I can't wait," she continued.
Best of all, for every ticket sold, $1 will be given to Vegas-based non-profit Cure 4 Kids that assists children facing life-threatening conditions getting proper medical attention and treatment.
The tour will also prove to be a relief for Gwen who's a mom to three boys, and a loving partner to fellow musician, Blake Shelton. She'll be able to continue working while staying much closer to home with more free time between shows to spend time with her family.
Who knows? The free time Gwen will have on her hands might finally prompt her and Blake to finally put wedding plans on the table. The couple who's been together for three years has had fans egging them on to get married, but neither of them has admitted to seriously considering the idea.
In fact, the buzz about their relationship has gotten so intense that Ellen DeGeneres just had to ask Gwen about it on her most recent appearance on the talk show. Even with a whole lot of prodding, all the 48-year-old singer had to say about it was that she does think of marriage, thinks Blake has gotten sexier, and that her kids love him.
For now—and while wait for Blake to get down on one knee—we're more than okay with being excited for Gwen's Vegas residency that starts in June!
Tickets will be sold on Friday, April 13. Ticket prices begin at $59.
