V-Day Special: Our Favorite K-Drama Couples In The Past Decade
The month of love got us looking back at these gorgeous onscreen pairs
Crash Landing on You and the undeniable chemistry between Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin absolutely reignited our love for Korean dramas, and for some, it was a great first choice that could start their K-Drama addiction.
There are several factors that explain why K-Dramas are so addictive, and one of them is how they manage to offer a new kind of chemistry with every show. If you will notice, unlike here in the Philippines where the love team culture is so strong, K-Dramas almost always never cast an actor and an actress in more than one project (except perhaps for the likes of Lee Dong-wook and Yoo In-na who was first paired in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God as a secondary couple and later had their own series, Touch Your Heart). This is what's also interesting with K-Dramas: there's always a chance for your favorite actor and actress to end up in a project together!
Credit goes to the stars themselves, too, for successfully bringing in the much-needed kilig no matter who their partner is, and that takes skill and mastery to pull off. We especially like the versatility and strong on-cam presence of actors like Hyun Bin, Ji Chang-wook, Lee Min-ho, Lee Seung-gi, Park Seo-joon, Lee Jong-suk, Park Bo-gum, and Jung Hae-in. Meanwhile, actresses like Gong Hyo-jin, Park Min-young, Son Ye-jin, Park Shin-hye, Bae Suzy, IU, and Song Hye-kyo do such a great job whether they're portraying a damsel in distress or an enviable heiress.
With Valentine's Day only a couple of days away, we look back at our favorite K-Drama couples in the past decade.
Scroll through the gallery below and consider this a list of our recommendations for the K-Dramas you should add to your binge list this February and beyond:
