In Photos: Here's What Went On At Our Brief "Encounter" With Korean Star Park Bo-gum
Korean star Park Bo-gum is in Manila for his "May Your Everyday be a Good Day" fan meet that is part of his 2019 Asia Tour. Produced by ABS-CBN Events and Ovation Productions in partnership with Blossom Entertainment, the event will be held tomorrow, June 22, 6PM, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
This tour was supposed to happen last April 27 but it was canceled due to the 6.1-magnitude earthquake that hit Luzon in April 22.
Starting in Seoul, this charming heartthrob has taken this tour to Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan, with Philippines serving as his tour's final stop.
Earlier today, a press conference, hosted by Sam Oh, was held at the Sunset Pavilion of Sofitel, to officially welcome Park Bo-gum in Manila. "I've been here twice before," he said matter-of-factly (in case you're wondering, yes, he answered in English, and is pretty good at it). The first time he was here was to shoot for the weekend drama Wonderful Mama, in which he had his first major role. The second time he found himself on the Philippine shores was for a vacation in Cebu after the successful run of his popular drama Love in the Moonlight, which also aired on ABS-CBN.
The 26-year-old began his career in 2011. He rose to popularity through other K-dramas like Hello Monster, Reply 1988, and Encounter. His next project is the upcoming movie Seo Bok, which also stars Gong Yoo and Jo Woo-jin. They have started filming last month. Here, Park Bo-gum plays the role of a human clone.
"The fact that I'm having my Asian tour is an unforgettable experience. I really appreciate the fans... regardless of what language they speak and where they live, they are sparing their precious time for me," he said during the press con, adding a special message to his Filipino fans. "Thank you for all your support and love... Let's have fun tomorrow, and let's make a good memory together."
