Park Seo-Joon Surpasses One Million Subscribers On YouTube
The Korean heartthrob receives his Gold Play Button from YouTube as he reaches this milestone. Take note: he's the first Korean actor to achieve this
Park Seo-joon is on a roll! After the success of his recently-concluded K-Drama, Itaewon Class, he has a new achievement to celebrate. He received his Gold Play Button from YouTube for surpassing one million subscribers on the online video-sharing platform just less than a year since he started his channel, Record PARK's. What makes this milestone even more remarkable is that he's the first Korean actor to ever have this achievement!
Last June 1, Park Seo-joon did a live broadcast on his YouTube channel to celebrate this milestone with his fans and subscribers. The handsome celebrity carefully unboxed the Gold Play Button, flashing a wide smile as soon as he finally held onto this shiny flat trophy in a metal casing.
"I think I can achieve this not because of me but because all of the people who have appeared on my videos and the staff members. They edit my videos through the night but I think I haven't done much. Thank you for those who have been curious about my life... I have never thought that I can hold this golden play button," he said in the live broadcast, as translated by KStarLive.
Park Seo-joon started his YouTube channel in July 2019. In his channel, he gives his followers a behind-the-scenes peek into his life as an actor. And for his fans, this is an absolute treasure trove that allows them to get to know their idol more. The life of a celebrity is always a subject of curiosity, and it's a huge deal for a big star like Park Seo-joon to give people access to that through his fun and entertaining vlogs.
In September 2019, Park Seo-joon went to Manila for a fanmeet event with clothing and lifestyle brand Bench. A month later, he released a vlog about this trip. The video showed him enjoying a meal at The Peninsula Manila Hotel and going around Greenbelt in Makati City.
Park Seo-joon also has a huge following on Instagram, @bn_sj2013. As of this writing, he has 13.5 million followers.
The actor's next project is a movie titled Dream with actress and K-Pop star IU.
