Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe have been chosen to star in the Filipino adaptation of the hit K-drama Flower of Evil.

The announcement was made by Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal today, following the contract signing events of Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe as ABS-CBN artists earlier.

The melodrama suspense series, which originally starred Lee Joon-gi and Moon Chae-won, is about a couple whose marriage will be tested because of a series of murders. The wife, a detective, will uncover a mystery about her husband and his twisted past that led him to take on a different identity.

During the #JustLovi media conference held today, Lovi Poe shared that she was so thrilled when she found out that this is her first project as a Kapamilya actress. Not only is she paired with local showbiz's ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual, this K-drama also happens to be one of her favorites (she's a huge K-drama fan!), next to Crash Landing on You, Something in the Rain, and Legend of the Blue Sea.

Lovi is grateful to have been given the opportunity to work on such an amazing series with Piolo, who even greeted and welcomed her at the contract signing event with a bouquet of flowers.

The Pinoy adaptation of Flower of Evil marks Lovi's second project with ABS-CBN after the 2020 iWant movie Malaya. On the other hand, this is one of Piolo's upcoming projects, as he's also set to star in a rom-com series with Angelica Panganiban.
