See Priyanka Chopra's Massive Wedding Venue—It's A 26-Acre Indian Hilltop Palace!
Priyanka Chopra's wedding is bound to have an element or two that'll put it at par with some of the grandest nuptials we've seen this year. Just take a look at her chosen venue, the heritage five-star hotel, Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace that's fit for a princess.
Sitting atop Chittar Hill in India's northwestern cirty of Jodhpur, the former royal residence is the last of India's opulent palaces. The 89-year-old part museum, part hotel took a whopping 14 years to construct, and for its guests, now offers the enjoyment of award-winning spa and recreational facilities, multiple culinary experiences, several banquet halls, sprawling gardens (that are home to peacocks), grand architecture and interiors, and hundreds of ornately furbished guest rooms.
It makes total sense for a bride-to-be with as much class as Priyanka Chopra to choose a venue as breathtaking as this; after all, everything else she's done for her wedding has been nothing but epic. She had a traditional engagement ceremony in Mumbai, a Tiffany & Co.-hosted bridal shower in New York, and a bachelorette party in Amsterdam, so far.
As an Indian-American woman who's always found ways to honor her heritage while living abroad, Priyanka is reportedly holding both Christian and Hindu ceremonies at the palace. In the tradition of Hindu weddings, a series of festive events will lead up to the big day beginning in the last week of November and culminate on December 1—Priyanka's rumored wedding date.
Expect to see a star-studded guestlist of Hollywood-meets-Bollywood faces, too. The 36-year-old and her husband-in-the-making have tons of friends from both groups, ensuring that their reception will be one of the most beautiful we'll see!
Aside from the venue, hints about Priyanka's wedding ensemble have also been revealed; unlike other famous brides who have come before her, she's not going to tie the knot in white.
This queen of style is supposedly going to be clad in red, while her entourage will all be dressed by Ralph Lauren. The brand holds a particular significance for the engaged couple, as both made first connection at the 2017 Met Gala when they were both dressed in Ralph Lauren outfits.
