Tall, charming and handsome. That’s the first impression one would have of Rowoon (or Kim Seok-woo), but behind his good looks is an immense talent in singing, dancing, and acting that would leave one in awe of his multifaceted sides.


In 2020, this 25-year-old artist was named Male Actor Idol of the Year by Brand of the Year Awards. This year, he was recognized as the Best Male Acting Idol by Brand Customer Loyalty Awards.


Rowoon started his career in entertainment in 2013 as a trainee in FNC Entertainment’s reality show Cheongdam-dong 111. He eventually made his K-pop debut with SF9 in October 2016 before venturing into acting with KBS2’s School 2017 with a minor role.



He went on to work on K-dramas About Time and Where Stars Land. His breakthrough project came via the 2019 school fantasy drama Extraordinary You opposite young actress Kim Hye-yoon of Sky Castle fame. It was then followed by starring roles on dramas She Would Never Know, The King’s Affection, and Tomorrow.

Fantasy series Tomorrow is one of the trending K-dramas on Netflix Philippines today. In the series, Rowoon played the role of a young job seeker who gets hired by an unexpected employer at the underworld. The drama recently ended, and now we’re left wanting more of Rowoon.

Rowoon’s real name is meaningful. - For a start, Rowoon’s real name Kim Seok-woo was bestowed upon him by his grandfather. “Seok” means mineral while “Woo” stands for helper. Rowoon got candid in his “Happy Together” guesting when he admitted he used to have a girlfriend prior to debuting. “I had a girlfriend before I made my debut and I thought of my memories with her while acting. She was my first love,” he said. Rowoon also revealed the kind of boyfriend he was by sharing, “When I heard that she was sick, I brewed some tea and brought it to her.
