This Professional Makeup Artist Lost 32 Lbs In 12 Weeks With Khloe Kardashian's Help

32 pounds, 12 weeks, bucketloads of sweat and tears—it was hard, but Melody got the “revenge” she wanted, with the help of Khloe Kardashian.

Last year, Khloe showed the world that she can overcome the biggest tragedy of her life and turn it into something positive. She was able to turn around her divorce by pouring all her energy into losing weight—and it paid off, big time! Since her transformation, Khloe has lost more than 40 pounds and she is looking the best version of herself.

Now, she’s sharing this inspiring and life-changing journey with others in her reality show, Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian. In one episode, she helped professional makeup artist Melody to turn her life around and get up from all the pain she’s been going through because of her weight.

It hurts when the people around us become the reason for our pain. In Melody’s case, she tells Khloe that her “light started to dim” because she felt like she was disappointing her mom because of her weight gain.



“My mom is always keeping up an image. She is very passive aggressive about my weight. Once for Christmas, my mom got my best friend a Prada purse. She got me an exercise ball. She was like, ‘Hey, here’s a bright pink exercise ball, it’s gonna be real fun, aren’t you gonna have so much fun?’ My mom sees my weight as a form of failure and it’s hard to have the person closes to you not be the person you can talk to about the thing that hurts you the most,” she shares.

Khloe and Melody’s goal: turn Melody into her best self in just 12 weeks. And that involves the whole package: intense training, healthy eating, skin rejuvenating, and a total makeover.

And so for 12 weeks, Melody worked with celebrity trainer Lacey Stone, who have worked closely with Khloe herself and many big brands and celebrities.



According to Lacey, more than working on the body, it is also important to work on the mental state of her trainees. “A lot of people have something that’s blocking them, something they don’t want to talk about, and that’s the thing that’s getting in their way of being great. Address the mind first, and your professional and personal life.”

In Melody’s case, she was going through a lot of pain because her mom was always addressing her weight in a way that she wasn’t comfortable with. And by addressing that, by motivating herself to become better for herself and to improve her relationship with her mom, she was able to pull through.

After weeks of exercise, a strict diet that composed only of pre-packed healthy meals, and hard work, Melody was able to transform herself.



Another tip that Melody got from Nurse Jamie, a celebrity skincare expert that worked with Jessica Alba and the Kardashians, is that poor sleep position is the number 3 cause of skin aging. According to Nurse Jamie, sleeping on your side adds to the wrinkles on your neck so it is better to surround yourself with pillows to prop yourself straight throughout the night.



After a transformation session with Guy Tang and a collaboration with top makeup artist Kandee Johnson, Melody was able to emerge from her 12-week program 32 pounds lighter and a hundred times better. She was able to talk to and confront her mom, better herself, and have a more stable outlook in life.
