Rico Blanco and Maris Racal are confirmed to be dating! The confirmation came from the 23-year-old actress and singer herself during a livestreamed media conference for her two upcoming Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes.
News about Rico Blanco and Maris Racal dating began to circulate online when she posted a birthday greeting for him on Instagram last March 17. The post came with a black and white photo of Rico and a video of the two of them singing Aqualung's "Brighter Than Sunshine."
In the Maalaala Mo Kaya press conference on May 31, the Pinoy Big Brother alum spoke up about the real score between her and the former Rivermaya member, saying, "Kami po ni Rico. I think basing po sa post na ginawa ko po, I think it's very obvious. Right now, we are very excited and busy din. We are preparing such beautiful music together. Kaya abangan nila 'yon soon."
After she confirmed their relationship, people have been curious about their age gap. Rico Blanco and Maris Racal have a 25-year age gap; he is 48 years old and she's 23. She posted on Instagram Stories a photo of an aegyo cake featuring this sentence: "Age is just a number." Could this be her reply to naysayers?
In 2019, the two collaborated on a duet of her single "Abot Langit."
