Kapamilya actor and TV host Robi Domingo and his fiancée Maiqui Pineda shared their prenuptial shots yesterday, August 9, 2023. The couple also celebrated their fifth anniversary just three days ago. On their Instagram accounts, Robi and Maiqui posted some snaps of their pre-wedding pictorial, which took place in Kyoto, Japan.

Last week, Maiqui revealed that she is struggling with an autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis. According to her blog entry, she was diagnosed with the illness last July 14, 2023, and it has since caused her muscle weakness, inflammation, and skin rashes.

“My immune system is basically attacking the healthy cells of my organs and tissues by mistake,” Maiqui shared, noting that while the cause of her dermatomyositis remains unknown, there’s a high possibility that stress, environmental factors, and genetic makeup affected her body. “Sadly, there is no long-term cure for autoimmune diseases but they can be managed and treated.”

Despite the health challenges that she had to face, Maiqui is still grateful that she is not alone in her journey. She thanked her husband-to-be Robi for his unwavering love, care, and support all along. In the photos that she posted on her blog, Robi is seen accompanying Maiqui in her hospital visits, too.

“It will be one of the hardest things I will ever have to do but I will work on it one day at a time. I am at my most vulnerable now but I will come out of this stronger and better than ever,” Maiqui penned. “To Robi, who has been my rock and strength all throughout even when I know how hard and tiring it must be at times, [thank you].”

Last July 18, Robi posted a photo of him and Maiqui in the hospital, too, leaving a heartwarming message for his lifetime love: “These past few weeks have been difficult to say the least, but I'll be here for you, with you,” he said.
