Sarah Geronimo celebrates her 33rd birthday today and with so many amazing milestones to look back on from the past year, we'd like nothing more than to see the country's Popstar Royalty thriving and living her best self as she starts a fresh year of life. To make the day extra special for her and her fans, we're giving you five reasons to love this singer and actress even more.

She's the epitome of ageless beauty and positivity

Thirty-three is a great age, and Sarah G is out to prove that by using herself as an example. At 33, you're young enough to still radiate that joie de vivre and love for all things that life has to offer, but you're also fueled by a more solid sense of self to guide you through this phase of life and have clearer goals to give you direction. It's a great balance of youth and maturity, and with how Sarah G has lived her life so far, we see how this all comes into play.

She's clearly young at heart, for one thing; she's never without a smile on her face, new opportunities in her career excite her, she's a woman unafraid to show her love for her husband Matteo Guidicelli, and she's handled life's challenges with optimism and grace. 

But at the same time, the kind of woman she is at 33 is built from the wisdom of previous versions of herself. Having been a celebrity for close to two decades has taught her all kinds of lessons—from how to handle rumor-mongers and how to respond to one-sided criticism, and even how to manage family drama and staying humble—which have all made her much more than a music idol.

She has childlike charm, but exudes something much deeper than that. 

She's a style chameleon 

Personalities in the music industry either go through their careers with a signature look or shock us all when they decide to change things up when we least expect it. Birthday girl Sarah G is the latter!

In fact, just a few weeks ago, she wowed everyone when she debuted a brand new chop—a pixie cut, marking the shortest she's ever gone with her 'do. It was a bold move in all ways, seeing as how she's kept her hair pretty much within the same range for years now, taking off or growing out an inch or two every now and then. 

As for her style, Sarah G has definitely gone through her fair share of transformations. She was introduced to us as a princess-like personality, appearing in a multitude of ball gowns as she sang ballads. But these days, you'll find her sporting a lot more trends, on and offstage. We're big fans of how she's a pretty simple gal when she's off-duty (closet staples, clean cuts, and soft palette rule her look), but when it's time to show off to an audience in a music video, concert, or guesting, she becomes a totally different entity. When Sarah G becomes everyone's Popstar Royalty, she's sexy and cool, modern and surprising. We're not just talking about her clothes either; the energy she gives off changes, too, and we're all for seeing how the two style sides of this birthday girl co-exist. 

She maintains a private life

Sarah is one of the biggest names in showbiz out there, known locally and internationally, yet what we know about her life when the cameras stop rolling is only what she chooses to share. She's always been incredibly private and it's clear that she separates her life as an artist and life as "just" Sarah. Perhaps this is what's helped her so much maintain a covetable level of happiness, life satisfaction, and normalcy despite being who she is.

It's an admirable thing to do, and Sarah sets limits for herself, respects them, and in that way, silently asks others to respect her, too. 

She's currently gearing up for the next chapter in her career

The last time Sarah performed on ASAP Natin 'To was all the way back in November last year. She's been a mainstay at the show since 2004, so her "sudden" disappearance worried her fans, sending them into a frenzy of invented explanations. 

Little did they know that she had simply taken an extended break (again, with keeping parts about her life private), only to treat us all to her re-emergence this year with new songs and perhaps a new her (maybe that's what the haircut was for?). The news was confirmed by her management at Viva Records in February, much to everyone's relief. 

If you've followed Sarah G's career, you'll know that this new album is incredibly exciting, given that the last time she released an album was in 2018 with THIS 15 ME which is a way of celebrating her 15th anniversary in showbiz. Her new album will be the 14th in her impressive discography. 

Last March 27, she also took on the virtual stage with a grand online event called "TALA: The Film Concert." 

It deserves to be mentioned, too, that she recently represented the Philippines at the ASEAN Music Festival for the second time this year! At the virtual event, she said, "Music is a universal language that speaks to our soul through every stage of life. Music is very powerful. It can heal a wounded heart, uplift one's spirit and bring renewed hope. I do hope our music and performances can be a source of inspiration for all of you."

She has other things going on for herself outside of showbiz 

It's always awesome to see how some celebrities manage to do so much with their time, not just as artists but as regular folks pursuing non-showbiz dreams.

Sarah G's endeavor? A food business that she shares with her husband! The two even celebrated the "official" beginning of the business in April this year after they made their very first sale (that earned them P200). The food business has two sides to it: Matteo handles much of the mains given his experience running an Italian restaurant with his family in Cebu, and Sarah G takes care of the sweets (her blueberry lemon cheesecake and strawberry shortcake cupcake are must-tries, according to Matteo!). 

This passion of hers finally was first given attention in 2016 when she graduated from the Center for Asian Culinary Studies and trained under Chef Gene Gonzalez. Making this even better is the fact that she leveled up the hobby into an actual business, something that's no easy feat for someone as busy as her. 

Time and time again, Sarah G shows us how to live life to the fullest and continue doing what makes you happiest. We're wishing her all the best on this birthday and in all the next ones to come!
