Scenes From Son Dam-Bi and Lee Kyou-Hyuk's Wedding
The actress/singer tied the knot with the retired national speed skater in a beautiful poolside ceremony
Actress/singer Son Dam-bi and retired national speed skater Lee Kyou-hyuk recently tied the knot with a poolside ceremony. The bride shared photos from the intimate event on her personal Instagram account, writing that it was “a day where everything was perfect.”
The When the Camellia Blooms actress’ agency, H& Entertainment, also released photos from the wedding, captioning one of their Instagram posts with: “Thank you for sending warm support to the couple Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyu-hyuk, who will open the second act of a happy life.”
Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyou-hyuk’s wedding was held at the pool area of Grand Hyatt Seoul on May 13. The 38-year-old bride looked radiant and stunning in her minimalist strapless haute couture gown by French fashion designer Alexis Mabille. Showcasing a bare décolletage, Son Dam-bi’s hair was gathered in a neat bun; this hairstyle was complemented by makeup that’s as “beautiful as a sunny spring day,” as described by premium beauty salon Jennyhouse, whose makeup artist Oh Yoon-hee was behind the actress’ bridal beauty look.
Later that day, Son Dam-bi changed into another strapless dress, this time a floral column creation by Filipino-American fashion designer Monique Lhuillier. Both of her wedding outfits were from bridal boutique Kayla Bennet. Meanwhile, Lee Kyou-hyuk wore custom black and white tuxedos by Lord and Tailor.
KBS N’s sports announcer Lee Dong-geun was the wedding ceremony host. There were performances by Psy, 2AM's Jo Kwon, and Seulong, and the groom even had a surprise dance performance as Psy was singing. Model/actress Kang Seung-hyun was the one who caught Son Dam-bi’s wedding bouquet.
Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyou-hyuk met back in 2011 via the SBS entertainment program called Kiss and Cry. They’ve been friends since, and began dating last year.
In January 2022, she made their engagement Instagram-official, sharing a photo of a handwritten letter. And excerpt of her post is loosely translated as: “I have someone I want to share my life with. When we're together, I become the best I can be. When we're together, we laugh. In May, I will get married to the person who made me realize what happiness is.”
Son Dam-bi made her acting debut in 2009 via the K-drama Dream.
Congrats to the lovely couple!
