Seo In Guk and Francine Diaz on Their Song Collaboration, “My Love”

Kapamilya star Francine Diaz and the South Korean singer-actor Seo In Guk officially announced their song collaboration "My Love," and trust us, it's not your average karaoke duet. We're talking butterflies-in-your-stomach, goosebumps-on-your-arms, confess-your-undying-love kind of stuff.

In an exclusive press conference and listening party held at KAO Manila in Newport Mall, Pasay City, the two celebrities told the press that they’ve teamed up for a love song. The announcement was made on January 27 which is also the celebration of Francine’s 20th birthday.

Francine and Seo In Guk met at the backstage during a fan meet. But the real plot twist unfolded over a cozy dinner where Seo In Guk proposed the song collaboration to Francine’s manager, John Ling.

“I’m very grateful that he chose me. Para po sa akin, once in a lifetime opportunity ‘to. Para mabigyan akong pagkakataon to work with a South Korean superstar, lalo na with Oppa Seo In Guk pa, it is such a big blessing sa akin,” Francine gushes. 

She also admitted that she was thrilled yet nervous when she learned about the project as she knew she was not only carrying herself but also the Filipino hopes with her. But Seo In Guk reassures Francine that she did well. “She gives off lovely energy so we were able to work pleasantly together,” the singer-actor shares.

Francine went to South Korea last month to record the song and is set to shoot the music video that will be out soon. The song was written and composed by Seo In Guk himself together with Pak Kyung Hyun and Mo Sang Hoon.

The track "My Love" serves as a heartfelt confession to a special someone. It beautifully captures profound emotions of love, admiration, and unwavering devotion towards that significant other. The song will be launched on Spotify and all major online platforms in February. 

After this collaboration, fans might be seeing Seo In Guk in the Philippines more often as John Ling said that he’s already in talks with several brands that showed interest in working with the Korean actor.
