SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan and Wonwoo Debut as a Sub-Unit With 'This Man'

These men just gave us more reasons to love them

SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Wonwoo officially debuted as a sub-unit. They released their first single album, This Man, together with their lead single, “Last Night” (guitar by Park Juwon).

The album was released on June 17, with three tracks: “Last Night,” “Beautiful Monster,” and “Leftover.” It has three versions of the album: This Man (Standard Ver.), This Man (Kit Ver.), and This Man (Deluxe Version).

The album covers the sub-unit’s outmost talent individually and is displayed in the diverse genres of each song. The lead single “Last Night” (Guitar by Park Juwon) features a music video of an urban legend with the same man who appears in people’s dreams and offers them to go to a place where all their dreams will come true.

The story was written by Cho Yeeun and the song was co-composed by their co-member, Woozi, who is known for some of his compositions for the group’s several hits.

The album also includes two tracks from each member of the sub-unit. Jeonghan’s “Beautiful Monster” showcased the artist’s signature angelic, soothing voice through a minimalist R&B genre. Meanwhile, Wonwoo, known for his rapping skills, flaunts his deep vocals for the ballad song “Leftover.”

According to the Hanteo Chart on June 18, the album sold over 537,083 copies on its first day and has now surpassed 620,000 copies. Consequently, SEVENTEEN continues to show its impressive record-breaking consistency, following the recent release of “Seventeen Is Right Here,” which sold a massive 2 million copies on its first day.

Jeonghan and Wonwoo are both part of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN, which is known for their hit songs “Super” and “Hot,” with over 211 million streams on Spotify. The group is the first artist to perform at Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan last January 13.

SEVENTEEN was also widely recognized for being the first UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Youth, “empowering and inspiring young people around the world with their music and positive energy.”
