Look! Scenes From "My 40 Years," Sharon Cuneta's 40th Anniversary Concert

When it comes to what Megastar Sharon Cuneta's fans feel about her most epic performance to date, her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan said it best:

"Congratulations sweetheart for the most amazing, awesome concert performance for your 40th anniversary! So proud of how you have not only endured all these years but have triumphed over hardships, brokenness, setbacks, fear and self doubt.

Last night was and is a beautiful testament to your dedication, sacrifice, hard work and your intense love for your craft, your fans and the Almighty. Proud to be there cheering you on and sharing in this your wonderful, God ordained triumph! God is good. Congratulations! More! More!"

The lawmaker (and number one fan of Sharon) was one of the thousands who turned up to watch "My 40 Years," Sharon's 40th anniversary concert, last Friday. The weekend event held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum was a success, selling out all tickets with fans avidly requesting for a second run for those who missed the show, and for good reason.

The event not only featured Sharon performing her biggest and most beloved hits of all time, but a star-studded roster of special guests, too. Everyone from Zsa Zsa Padilla to Richard Gomez, Kuh Ledesma, Basil Valdez, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, and Christopher de Leon came to support Sharon. Their appearances were incredibly special treats to concert-goers who weren't told who the show's special guests would be.

Topping off the night was a touching tribute from Sharon's daughter, KC Concepcion, who sang "If I Could," one of her mom's favorite songs. The mother-daughter duo couldn't help but shed a tear onstage during the heartfelt moment, with many in the audience sharing the emotion.

"This song in particular 'If I Could' has been one you’ve been singing to me since I was 7 years old... I can’t believe that tonight, I got to sing this song not just alongside you - but FOR you," wrote KC in a post showing a clip of the performance.

Also worth mentioning is Sharon's eye-catching ensemble that gave justice to her talent and inimitable stage presence: her embellished red gown was made by Rocky Gathercole, a Filipino designer known for his statement-making designs, and was complemented by her hairstyle of loose waves, dramatic eyes, and a reddish-pink pout.
