Song Joong Ki Is Married And A Father-To-Be

Korean superstar Song Joong Ki has announced that he and British actress Katy Louise Saunders have registered their marriage and are expecting their first child!

The announcement came from the Reborn Rich actor himself, as he wrote the following letter on his fan cafe:

"Hello, this is Joong Ki. I wanted to share the happiest and most important promise in my life with you all. I have promised Katy Louise Saunders, who has been supporting me and sharing time together, to spend the rest of my life together. 

She has a kind heart and she has led a passionate life. She is a wise and amazing person, who I admire. Thanks to her, I'm becoming a better person. 

Naturally, we both wanted to make a happy family. We have been trying hard to keep each other's promise and gratefully, we have welcomed a precious life between the two of us. So today, we have registered our marriage as a couple, based on our deepest love and trust. 

We will continue walking our path looking in the same direction. Thank you to all the fans who have been sending unchanging support from the bottom of my heart.

Especially, I will put even more passion and responsibility into becoming a better actor and person as your wish and support throughout my acting career.

I hope you all stay healthy and happy until we can see each other in person."

In a brief statement, Song Joong Ki's agency commented on the news: "The wedding ceremony will be held separately, but nothing specific has been decided yet. The two will spend their newlywed life going back and forth from South Korea and the United Kingdom."

On December 26, 2022, Song Joong Ki was confirmed to be in a relationship with a British woman, who's previously said to be non-celebrity. His agency confirmed the news, releasing this statement: "Actor Song Joong Ki is currently seeing a woman with positive feelings. We hope that you will look warmly upon their relationship."

Song Joong Ki was previously married to his Descendants of the Sun leading lady Song Hye Kyo, with their wedding ceremony held on October 31, 2017. The divorce of the two was finalized in July 2019.

Song Joong Ki is also known for K-dramas Vincenzo, Arthdal Chronicles, The Innocent Man, and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Katy, on the other hand, is also an actress with projects like The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Welcome Home, and Third Person.
