New Boys On The Block! Discover BGYO, The Newest Boy Group On Our Radar

If you didn't know P-pop was a thing, you will now.

P-pop, or Philippine Pop, is a spin-off of the global K-pop phenomenon and slowly but surely, it's gaining traction in the industry beginning with Star Hunt Academy. The academy, which is exactly what it sounds, is essentially an intensive training camp for P-pop star hopefuls and grooms candidates for the international stage. 

The latest group to be launched by the academy and is now a part of Star Magic Philippines' roster of artists is none other than BGYO, a five-member boyband composed of fresh faces Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate!

Previously called the SHA Boys, they were recruited by the Star Hunt Academy in 2018 and two years after, the boys finally graduated from camp training, or in idol speak, they officially debuted as new artists.  

The very first time BGYO performed for an audience was last year in an ASAP Natin 'To episode where they rocked out to "ON" by Grammy-nominated music act BTS. Those who tuned into their performance were blown away by their dance moves and stage presence, a sure sign that BGYO was onto something great.

And on January 29, BGYO is off to perform at their first-ever concert and fan conference, the group's grand launch called "Be the Light" via KTX. Tickets are available here for those interested! 

The January show will be available for streaming in Manila and in overseas locations like London, Milan, Dubai, and Riyadh.  

So much more is yet to come for BGYO, and we can't wait to see what else is in store for them!
