“Babalik ka sa tahanan na matagal mo nang namimiss,” Robi said. He hasn’t been inside the ABS-CBN compound in so long that the contract signing felt like a homecoming to him. Even more than that, now that Direk Laurenti M. Dyogi is now the head of Star Magic, he feels even more at home. “I feel so comfortable with Direk Lauren. He’s my father sa ABS-CBN. Mas lalong naging kumportable ako sa gagawin ko and sa lahat ng p'wede kong magawa sa loob ng pamilya ko, which is Star Magic.”

“It’s bittersweet,” Joseph said. From the things na pinagdaanan ng management… we’re still here. We’re standing and we’re hoping that it’s gonna be good in the future. I’m just really thankful and blessed to be given the chance. One thing's for sure, I’m really happy with Star Magic: how they take care of me, how they take care of us. Up until now, my loyalty is with Star Magic and ABS-CBN.”

“Would that ever be a plan for me?” Kira wondered in the past, before she herself became a rising star. She would see other Star Magic artists renew their contracts, and she would dream in earnest about being there one day, too. And now here she is, renewing her contract with the agency, excited for all that is to come.

“Ang laki ng pagpapasalamat ko,” said Enchong. “‘Eto na naman, may panibagong yugto dahil pinagkatiwalaan ka ng buong network mo for another contract. Hindi dumating sa ‘kin ‘yung pagdadalawang-isip, even when everything was going on with the pandemic and the shutdown. Never ko siyang inisip. Am I gonna stay with Star Magic? Yeah, it’s my home.”

“Dito na talaga ako lumaki,” Andrea said. “Dito na ako ever since I was eight. 'Goin’ Bulilit' days pa.” As she signed with Star Magic, she teased her upcoming projects, including something new with the Gold Squad, to which Andrea herself belongs, alongside her "Kadenang Ginto" castmates Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin.

At the contract signing, ABS-CBN exec Cory Vidanes announced that "Darna" is still pushing through, only this time as a series—surprising even Jane herself. “Nagulat ako kanina. Nag-flashback ‘yung in-announce sa ‘kin kasama ng mga executives,” Jane said. “Hiningi ko kay Lord: gusto ko magkaroon ng projects, opportunities, pero siyempre hindi ko rin in-expect ‘yung 'Darna.'” She thanks those who see the potential in her, and thanks those who have put their trust in her to bring such an iconic and beloved character to life.

Kim has been with Star Magic since she finished her stint as a housemate in "Pinoy Big Brother." She’s gone through many contract signings in the past, but this is the first time, she admits, that she cried. “Ngayon lang ako naiyak,” she says. “Ngayon lang ako naluha. Siguro kasi siyempre ang daming nangyari. Ang daming mga open doors and doon ako nasubok. Ang daming magandang opportunities pero I chose to be a Kapamilya. Nitong lockdown nasa bahay lang tayo. And na-realize ko na itong bahay na ‘to, galing 'to sa ABS-CBN. Kung hindi dahil sa ABS-CBN, 'Pinoy Big Brother,' wala akong bahay na ganu'n. Nakita ko ‘yung mga kapatid ko, okay naman sila—tapos sila sa pag-aaral, may kanya-kanya na silang pamilya—and it’s all because of ABS-CBN.”
