It's a belated 18th birthday celebration for AC, who just returned from Canada. She thought she was doing a photo shoot with Metro, only to find out it was actually a surprise party for her
AC Bonifacio got a warm welcome from her Star Magic family, as ABS-CBN's talent management arm threw her a surprise party that doubled as her belated 18th birthday party and celebration for her comeback.
Last December 13, the Filipino-Canadian dancer, singer, and vlogger turned 18 with an intimate celebration held in Canada where she spent the past months.
That pink-themed mini party would have a follow-up: a diner-themed party (referencing American teen drama series Riverdale) that's also predominantly pink and filled with girly-edgy details that mirror AC's personality. Her frothy, lavender, tulle dress by Mark Nathaniel Magsakay was a perfect fit for the event, more so as it was styled with a pair of sneakers.
AC returned to Manila in the first week of February, to fulfill her showbiz commitments. Little did she know there were plans to make her comeback an unforgettable one. To make this surprise party happen last February 25, AC was told she was going to do a photo shoot for Metro, only to arrive at Sitio Elena Events Venue greeted by some of her dearest loved ones. Serving as accomplices to this mission were her mommy Cherry, her handler, her road manager, and her glam team.
The intimate event was attended by her closest friends BJ Sy, Shawn Castro, and Nianna Guerrero. Her other showbiz friends—Edward Barber, Darren Espanto, Nate Porcalla, Jerome Glinoga, Kylie Echarri, Mitch Unnie, and Cassy Legaspi—also joined the celebration via Zoom.
As part of the program, AC was showered with love through heartwarming speeches from her mom, her Canada-based agent Maureen Goodwill, and Star Magic head Direk Lauren Dyogi.

The surprise party for AC was a success, thanks in part to the suppliers behind it: event planning/coordination by Events by Miss P, photo and video coverage by NicePrint, event styling by Randy Lazaro, signage from Signarama Philippines, catering by Juan Carlo The Caterer Inc., lights and sounds courtesy of LSTmobile, cake by Honey Glaze Cakes, and souvenirs from Knotville Favors, Speedster, and Arteegram.
AC was glammed up by makeup artist Lin Uy, hairstylist MJ Rone, and stylist Ica Villanueva.
As to why her party had diner elements is because AC was tapped for the role of Star Vixen in Riverdale. She will make her appearance in the upcoming "Chapter Eighty-Three: Fire in the Sky" episode of the popular show this March 11. The fifth season of Riverdale premiered in the US last January 20.
AC, who became popular for competitions Dance Kids and Your Face Sounds Familiar, has been making waves as a YouTube vlogger as well via her channel "Andree Bonifacio," which has close to 2 million subscribers.
In July last year, AC was named the second prize winner in BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" Dance Cover Contest. That dance cover has garnered 5.5 million views, as of this writing. Her other most viewed videos on YouTube are her dance covers of BTS' "Dynamite" and BLACKPINK's "Lovesick Girls."
